Amity POV
I woke up to my alarm clock blaring in my ear again.
"Could you be any louder?" I asked the alarm.
No response.
Of course there's no response Amity, it's not alive
It would be cool if it was though.
I started getting ready for the day, when I noticed a particular piece of clothing hung on the edge of my desk chair.
Luz's jacket...
I grabbed the jacket and put it on once I finished getting my hair done and everything.
I checked myself in the mirror.
My roots... they're growing back... should I...?
I shrugged it off.
As I exited my room I saw a note on the coffee counter. There were chocolates on the sofa too. This living room is pretty big considering there only being two rooms.
"I went to get us something to eat. I'll be right back, okay? Oh and also good morning
-Luz" I read the note out loud.
Just as I finished reading it, I heard a click and the creaking of a door.
I turned around, and there was Luz with some.... What is that...?
"Oh you're awake? Well good morning Amity!" Luz said, preppy as usual.
"Good morning Luz" I said "what's that?"
"It's McDonalds!" She said.
I tilted my head.
"McDonalds...?"
"Uhhh yeah... McDonald's... it's a fast food restaurant." She began to take the food out of the bag. "Haven't you heard of it?"
"N-No..."
"Oh. I thought everyone knew what that was."
I looked down at the floor.
"Sorry Luz I didn't know-"
"Yah, what are you apologizing for? Let's just eat! Cmon Ami! We have a couple of minutes before school starts, let's just enjoy this!" She said, instantly cheering me up.
(Time skip)
"Luz, hurry up we're going to be late for class!!" I told Luz.
We're going to be late if this dork doesn't hurry up!!!
"I'm coming, I'm coming goddamn!" I heard Luz say.
Luz POV
Oh shit shit shit shit where did my beanie go???
"LUZ HURRY UP CMON" I heard Amity yell.
"OK OK IM ON MY WAY GEEZ" I responded.
I quickly looked through my clothes and I found it!
I put it on, grabbed my bag and sprint out the door.
"Cmon Amity let's not be late!" I said as I grabbed her arm and started to run to the main campus.
"Wah!! Luz slow down! I'm going to tri-" I heard Amity say before hearing a yelp coming out of her.
I turned towards her but it was too late.
I took out my arms and held her as she fell into me.
I closed my eyes, expecting the worse.
THUMP
I slowly opened my eyes.
I heard people speaking. Talking amongst themselves. I don't know why, but it sounded like.. gossiping?
Why though?
As my eyes opened a bit more, I realized something was weighing down on my chest.
I looked down and to my surprise, there she was.
"Amity! Are you okay?" I asked.
I looked at her, worried, but somehow I couldn't stop myself from laughing.
"L-Luz this is why I said you should slow down!" Amity said, embarrassed.
"Haha.. well sorry but I'll be careful next time!" I said, trying to cheer her up.
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING
The school bell! Shit we're going to be so late!
"Cmon Luz!" I heard Amity say as she got up and pulled the collar of my shirt in order to get me up.
"Hey Amity if you want me that bad you can just ask"
She looked at me, blushing, redder than a tomato. She let go of my shirt.
"I-I uh..."
"I'm just messing with you! I do that with all my friends!"
"O-oh yeah, right.."
We stayed awkward for a second.
"Hurry up Amity you're going to be late for 1st period." I heard a girl say.
Hey it's that girl! From the gym yesterday!
"Oh sure Boscha! Let me just say bye to Luz"
Boscha rolled her eyes.
What a brat.
"Uhh I'll see you later Luz!"
Then something unexpected happened.
Amity grabbed my chin and kissed my forehead.
"B-Bye Luz..!"
I sat there in awe.
"b-bye...." My voice quietly rose up when I saw Gus and Willow.
"GAH WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!" Gus said.
"Gus stop panicking. We're going to be fine. Right Luz?" Willow said as she looked at me. "Luz?"
"Her... k-kiss... cheek.... m-me.."
"What."
