After a few days of being back at work, Benson calls you into her office, "Look, Y/N, I won't force you to talk to me, but something is clearly bothering you. You're even more quiet and reserved than before Ja....." She almost continues, but stops herself.
You sigh, "I know." You look down, "Have you uh, spoken to Tony at all?"
Benson leans back on her desk, "He's filled me in, somewhat."
"Ok. I just need to focus on work here for a bit longer," you look down and then back up at Liv.
She leans to you and puts her arm on your shoulder, "Whatever you need, Y/N."
As you thank Liv, your phone rings.
A small smile appears on your face when you see Nat's name on the screen, "Hey girlie!"
"Hey, Nat!" You say, and Benson's face lights-up when she sees your smile as well.
"Pep and I want to take you to lunch. Tomorrow. Sound good?" Nat continues.
You walk out of Benson's office, "Sounds good."

The next day, you're sitting outside of a cafe with Pepper and Nat.
"How have you been?" Nat asks taking a sip of her drink as the three of you enjoy your meal.
"Working at the station, and on my sanity," you pause, "H-how are....?"
Pepper chimes in, "Tony has been working almost non-stop of course. I guess both of you share that coping mechanism."
You nod and laugh a little, knowing that too well about him.
"As for Loki, he's...quiet. We see him for meals, sometimes, and training, but..." Nat informs you.
"It's evident he misses you, Y/N," Pepper starts, but you're averting her gaze. "And you miss him by the looks of it."
"....yea, I do," you take another fork-full of food. "He's a God though; I'm sure all he has to do is go to Asgard and find someone...."
"I love you, but do you hear yourself?" Nat takes your fork from you and puts it down. "Now knowing that Loki was your partner at the station, explains his happier mood back then."
"You both made one another better, whether the stubbornness in either of you will allow you to admit it or not," Pepper finishes Nat's thoughts.
"I think said stubbornness may prevail a bit longer," you say taking your fork back.
Both Pepper and Nat roll their eyes, "You," Pepper nods at you, "have spent way too much time with Tony." Her sentence causes all of you to laugh.

A few days later, your phone rings again, this time it's Pepper.
"Hey, Pepp! What's up?" You say moving around your apartment.
"I...uh, can you come to the tower? I need you here to calm me down," her voice is worried.
You hear the urgency in her voice, so your keys are in your hand before she even finishes her sentence.
