The rest of the Mikaelson's except Nikolai had gone out shopping. They had fully excepted their mother's miracle arrival and were very giddy about it.
Nikolai stayed behind and to lose some stream, through painting. A habit which he caught from his father and mother, both.
He still wasn't willing to fully accept the miracle arrival of his so-called mother, thinking she might eventually leave him too. So no way in hell would he allow to do that, at least not now.
He was quite invested in his painting that he didn't notice the arrival of his sister, leaning against the door frame, hand on chest, and a smile on her face. She saw her brother paint.
She knew that he was scared to let their mother in, afraid to lose her again, but he didn't realize that once they got their mother back, they wouldn't let them go.
She cleared her throat and Nikolai turned to face her.
"What." He asked.
"Nice cloud." Said Reya with a teasing smile.
He rolled his eyes and put his brush down.
Reya closed the door and walked towards him as he sat at the nearest table."Why did you disturb me, Reya?" Asked Nikolai as he folded his arms not looking into her eyes. He knew why she was here, he just wasn't ready to have this conversation.
