"Are we there yet?" Seonghwa asked with a whine. Mingi let out a groan of frustration as he stopped the horse. Seonghwa was sitting behind Jongho as Mingi walked beside, pulling them along.

"I told you; no talking." He repeated. Seonghwa knew he wasn't supposed to talk but he couldn't help himself. He knew how dangerous it was but he really couldn't care less. After all, Mingi wasn't allowed to punch him anymore and they couldn't kill him without getting the information first.

Seonghwa's plan was evil, really.

"Where are we going anyways?" He asked with an innocent smirk. Mingi was about to shout at him when Jongho cleared his throat.

"I sai-"

"Somewhere to stay. It's late and, quite frankly, I don't want to question you right now. You get one night to think but after that if you don't answer truthfully we have no choice but to take you back with us to Deoleoun" Jongho explained sternly.

Seonghwa sighed as Mingi moved the horse along. "How much longer?" His questions once again bombarded Mingi.

"Would you shut up already? It's a small campsite on the outskirts of town, it'll only take about 15 minutes at this rate." Mingi said. He turned around and glared at Seonghwa, finally catching on to his antics.

"And no more questions. I'm getting tired of them."

Seonghwa understood, or well, it's more like he found a loophole.

"Hongjoong's been doing pretty good." He saw Jongho flinch in front of him but nobody said a word. "He's made some new friends besides me. They're okay I guess."

Seonghwa continued, not really sure if he was talking to them or himself. "One of them is super loud but he's friendly. The other one though.. I mean he seems great but I don't trust him much. He's always writing in that book of his."

"H-has he talked about home much?" Jongho asked quietly.

"Ah.. not much. He's spoken about it a few times but nothing was too nice. The only good stories were mostly about the staff or his holidays a few years back." Seonghwa stated honestly. He didn't figure lying was necessary as long as he didn't spill anything important.

"Oh." Jongho mumbled. "That's fair." Seonghwa felt bad, to say the least. He wished they could've been a happy family like the other Kingdom's that way Hongjoong would never have had to escape and everything could be okay.

"This is probably an overshare but, I don't have too many memories of my family. The only ones I have are honestly... terrifying." He said with a breathy laugh. "I lost my fathers and older brother at such a young age that I honestly forgot they existed but my adoptive mother was absolutely beautiful."

Seonghwa shook his head from his thoughts as he was getting off-topic. "Not only in looks but in personality too. She took such good care of me and if I could go back in time I would use every second to thank her for raising me so well." He said solemnly. Seonhwa looked up at the sky, feeling a tear well up in his eye.

"Ah sorry. As I was saying, I didn't get nearly enough time with my mom and when I hear other people's stories of how screwed up their life at home is it makes me sad. Despite having all the time in the world with your family, you don't cherish it at all."

"What do you mean 'cherish'?" Jongho asked, confused by Seonghwa's words.

"Well, the way I see it, just being in the same room isn't enough. I'm not saying you need to spend every second with your family but I mean at least eating meals together is enough, isn't it? That's what family is to me; The people you love, the people who support you no matter what, and most importantly..they're the people you can lean on in a time of need." Seonghwa finally finished his small speech.

"Sorry for getting so sentimental. Especially since I'm literally arrested but just..maybe try spending more time with each other when you get the chance?"

Jongho nodded. "I can't promise anything but I'll definitely take what you said into consideration in the future."

Seonhwa felt a bit proud. He's sure that Hongjoong is worried sick about him but, for the time being, he might be able to help from afar.

There was silence for a few minutes. Seonghwa randomly brought up useless facts like how many racoons you can fit up your ass. He'd be lying if he said he was bored. He knew the other's weren't really listening and he was talking to the sky yet that gave him a sense of security.

Knowing that there was nothing to do, nothing to plan, and nothing to worry about made him feel at home again. Except that he hasn't had a home in god knows how long.

He continued with his random stories, the others getting slightly tired of it.

"So I had this friend Yunho once and he--"

He paused, which was definitely odd. They were only 5 minutes away from the campsite but Seonghwa's face suddenly had a shocked expression.

"Are you good?" Mingi asked, seeing this.

"Uh..." Seonghwa started. He looked down, hiding the embarrassment from his face.

"I need the bathroom."

Sorry it was so short, I tried to add more but this was already a roller coaster of emotions.

P.s: all of Seonghwa's speech was pretty much my own opinions so if you don't agree then just pretend it was just Seonghwa (not me).
