"Cecilia! Ziggy! Hurry we're going to be late!" I hear Cindy yell from downstairs

As I come downstairs I see Cindy waiting by the door, impatiently tapping her foot.

"Maybe we'll get lucky and we'll miss the bus!" Ziggy exclaims sarcastically as we walk out the door

I turned to give her a disappointed look, I knew how much this camp meant to Cindy, and I knew it would be hard for our mother to take care of Ziggy this summer, with her... habits.

As we got to the busses Ziggy wandered off, leaving Cindy and I together.

"So, are you excited to be a counselor?" I asked Cindy, nudging my shoulder into hers.

"Sort of, I am excited to see Tommy" She smiled, looking down towards her lap.

"Oh sweet Tommy" I teased.

"I feel like I haven't seem him in so long" She continued to ramble on about Tommy for the rest of the bus ride.

When we arrived at camp Cindy went to get Tommy to find her cabin, which left me to find my cabin by myself. I saw that Kurt and Nick were giving out the cabin assignments. Kurt spoke to Nick and pointed to our group, then walked away to help more campers. Nick walked over to where I and some of the other campers were waiting, he gave a couple of campers their assignments before coming to me.

"Berman 2, cabin 5" He spoke

"I have a name" I scoffed

He didn't respond and only moved onto the next camper. I wasn't new to Nick's "jokes", I had been going to camp with him for years, but this was the first year he was a counselor, and I was still a camper, which meant that I was forced to listen to him.

I walked around the camp, looking for cabin 5. When I got there Ziggy was already there, unpacking some of her things.

"Hey Ziggy" I spoke, setting my suitcase down on my bed

"I have to room with you?" She rolled her eyes

I was taken aback by her sudden anger, Ziggy and I usually didn't get along that well, but she was never so blatantly rude.

"Cindy is a counselor, and my other priss sister is my roommate" It hurt to hear her say it, but this was nothing new coming from Ziggy

"Ziggy... That's a terrible thing to say." She rolled her eyes "You could at least try to make an effort, you know how much this camp means to Cindy"

"Alright, alright. I'll try" She sighed

"Thank you" I smiled, going back to unpacking my things

After a while in the dorm room Ziggy and I went to dinner together. At dinner I wanted to try to talk to Cindy, but she seemed busy with the other counselors, and so I didn't make an effort to speak to her, instead I sat down at a table with some of the other campers. I tried to make light conversation with the other campers and found that they were nice enough, whereas Ziggy remained silent for dinner. Once we were both finished eating I stood up to leave, and when she didn't follow suite I glanced at her, raising my eyebrows

"You're not coming?" I asked

"No, I have something I need to do" She replied standing and walking to the other way out of the Mess Hall, away from the cabins

When I got back to the cabin I decided to finish unpacking some of my smaller things, and when I finally got into bed Ziggy still wasn't back.
