Forty two - OVA Chapter😅🤕

(Short, Forgot most of the chapter😅)

Some time had passed, and you officially became a nurse. You were often in ER and other times you would be in the clinic. Of course there were ups and downs at times, but all over you loved your job. 

It was a slow day that day, and you were making your way to your patient, you pulled back the curtains and you were met with a familiar face.

"Hey there, doll!"

You blinked for a second, realizing who this was again.

"Mr. Portgas."

"You can call me Ace! It's been a while hasn't it?"

"Yeah, it has. And I see you've been...busy." You say looking at his face and you can clearly see that he was probably in a scrap.

"Oh, I was just making new friends." He laughs it off.

You sat down your chart while giving a light scoff. 

"You haven't changed a bit, still got a baby face I see." He adds on.

"I guess so. And I can also see why you're here." You say.

"And I think I might have a concussion, I don't know. But I kept hearing this ringing in my ear."

"Alright, well that's a possibility of a concussion. So, we're gonna get you checked out and clean up the mess your...'Friends' made there." You say referring to his beaten up face.

"You have a mild concussion, it's nothing too serious but I'm gonna give you some medication and then you'll be just fine." You say while patching up the cut on his cheek that was starting to swell.

"Can I go to sleep after I leave here?" He asked.

"I don't recommend you to sleep just to be safe, but just take it easy for the next few days and make sure you stay hydrated." You say while taking your gloves off and handing him the pills and a bottle of water.

"do I get a sucker for sitting still?"

You couldn't help but laugh at his joke. "Sorry, all out of suckers. But you can have my Skittles if you like." You say while pulling them out of your pocket. 

"Aren't you such a sweetheart. I feel so much better." Ace says while giving you another big smile.

"Well, unless there's anything else, you're free to go." You say.

Ace gets up and throws his hat back on his head. "Thanks again, you enjoy those Skittles for me." 

"I will, make sure your 'Friends' play nice next time."

With that you two part ways and you filed the chart. "I always get the odd patients." You couldn't help but laugh at him.
