Hello everyone this is my first story so I apologize for any grammatical errors within the story. I hope you all like the story and feedback is much appreciated.

Earth Year:2110

In a certain hospital in Seoul south-Korea, on the bed was an elderly man hooked up to machines monitoring things like his blood pressure and heart rate close to the end of his life. Next to him sat a  young man with striking features and tousled black hair, with large blue eyes portraying a sense of sadness and unwillingness, dressed in black clothes holding the old mans hand.

???:" Its nearly time" the dying old man said with tears filling his dry wrinkled face as the young man lowered his head, tears dropping from his face and hitting the floor. His grip tightened ever so slightly on the old mans hand.

The young man raised his head to meet the side of the old mans head filled with only a few strands of white hair. Tears continued falling from both their eyes as the unknown young man spoke with both anger and disappointment. "Why wouldn't you choose to inherit my powers, you wouldn't have to die". The disappointment in himself for not being able to convince his son to take his powers.

The old man turned his head as his eyes met with the young man beside him and replied. "Even if I did take your powers, father, I know that I would never be able to do a better job than you, and it would break my heart to see you die instead of me". Tears fell down in steady streams from his face as he smiled again before turning to face the ceiling.

The hand which held the young mans became loose as the young man looked up in shock and sadness as the heart monitor displayed a flatline image. He turned to the old man who had closed his eyes with a smile on his face before turning and said. "Goodbye suho" and informing the nurse of his death and exiting the hospital and into the grey and cloudy world.

Some time later

On top of the largest building in South Korea stood a man in his early twenties with piercing blue eyes and a handsome face which now portrayed both loneliness and sadness. His long overcoat swayed gently in the wind along with his hair as the voices of his shadows comforted him in his grieving.

A lonesome figure appeared behind the man and bowed deeply toward him. "The rulers wish to offer their condolences towards the loss of your son, lord shadow monarch" the newly emerged man said.

The man in the long overcoat would be recognised as one of the strongest existence in the universe. The lord of the shadows, the master of death and the ruler of the chaos world, Sung Jin-woo.

Silence enveloped the two as the envoy of the rulers stood up and stayed behind the grieving shadow monarch. "Tell me, what does the envoy of the rulers want with me" Sung Jin-woo asked.

"The rulers wish to know what the lord will do next now that your last of kin is deceased" replied the envoy. Silence then fell again as Sung Jin-woo thought of what to do now that he had no one left that he could call either family or friend, as his thought trailed off to the decision of wether he should stay on earth or leave.

After a few minutes he responded. "Earth no longer holds any meaning towards me now that the planet is being protected by your armies and now I have no one left here so I have decided to leave the planet". His response shocked the envoy of the rulers deeply as the shadow monarch was known for his stubbornness towards leaving this planet in the past. Naturally he regained his composure and asked another question. "Where will the lord go when leaving the planet"

" I don't know yet, a few other worlds first, perhaps even the rulers world" replied jin-woo

The envoys eyes widened in both shock and horror as he staggered backwards at the shadow monarchs response. Oh god what would happen if they met and started fighting!! The entire universe would be in chaos.

"M-m-my lord, a-a-are you sure that is a good idea!" The envoy managed to say with a pale face at the thought of the most powerful beings in the universe fighting again.

"You seem to have scared him, my king" said a certain knight in Jin-woo's head. He turned around to see the horrified envoy and a faint smile appeared on his lips, knowing what he was thinking. "Relax, we wouldn't fight seeing as we are on the same side now" he said chuckling at the envoys imagination.

The envoy breathed a sigh of relief as he bid his farewell towards the shadow monarch before leaving the rooftop. Jin-woo now stood alone again as he turned to the soldiers in his shadow. "Are you all willing to follow me across the unknown"

"We will follow you always my liege" said martial Igrit

"We shall cleave the enemies that stand in the way of your heroic journey, my king" said an overly enthusiastic martial Beru

"We are at your call my liege, till the end of time" replied the grand martial of the immortal army, Bellion

Jin woo smiled. " let's go then" as they disappeared into a newly formed gate.
