Part Sixteen ~ My First Kiss

Yes I'm aware I accidentally called Cedric Edward in the last chapter 😹😹 Twilight is back on netflix and Edward's been on my mind ever since so forgive that error please I'll try to not make that mistake again lol.

As Miles is leaning in for the kiss I can feel my hands sweating and suddenly I'm nervous.

It's not that I planned out my first kiss or anything I just never expected it to be over a dare.

WAITER: Hello, may I take your order?

YES YES YES! Thank you waiter! I love you!

Miles quickly sits back down feeling embarrassed as I let out a sigh of relief.

Isla is holding in her laughter while Cedric straightens up and begins to order.

CEDRIC: Yes, I'll take the lobster risotto with a side of tomato soup

MILES: One classic american burger with fries please!

ISLA: I'll take the fried scallops and the house salad

I don't see many vegetarian options here but thankfully they have pasta. I wouldn't be able to live without it

Y/N: I'll have the Cacio e Pepe please

WAITER: Any side dishes with that?

Y/N: No thank you

WAITER: Alright, I will return momentarily with your food

The waiter says with a smile, trying to forget what he just walked in on. I'm too relieved to even feel embarrassed by it at this point

ISLA: Should we keep playing?

CEDRIC: No

MILES: Why?

CEDRIC: Not in the mood anymore

Y/N: Same, let's just talk about something while we wait for our food

ISLA: Well since we were on the topic of kissing, anyone wanna share their first kiss story?
CEDRIC: What?
MILES: I'll go!

I look down at my hands playing with a tissue. Cedric notices but doesn't point out my discomfort because I can tell he feels it too.

I haven't had my first kiss yet so I'd have nothing to tell. Let's just hope Mile's story lasts till the waiter comes back

MILES: It all happened in the 3rd grade
Y/N: 3rd grade???
MILES: Yes, now try not to feel jealous dear, you'll get your chance soon too

He says winking playfully at me. Isla giggles and Cedric hasn't said word yet. His brows are furrowed and his arms are folded lazily. I cant tell if he's mad or just really wants to go home

MILES: I was at the fair with my cousins and when it was my turn to get on the spinning tea cups I raced my cousin Victor to the last tea cup. But when I got there a girl was already sitting in it. I was bummed and started to walk away. Just then she calls out to me and tells me she can make room for one more. Reluctantly I go and sit next to her, not wanting to miss the chance of riding. When the ride starts I start spinning the wheel faster and faster and the girl cheers me on. Eventually it gets so fast that she starts to feel dizzy and falls on me. I slow down to check on her and next thing you know, she kisses me! Out of the blue! I was so shocked I didn't even realize the ride was over. She lets go and waves to me before leaving as I sat there still trying to process what had just happened to me. And I never saw her again

ISLA: Wow
Y/N: Well that's unfortunate
CEDRIC: Maybe you should try to go back to that fair and hope she shows up

MIES: Ah.. Ya.. I've tried that already
