Kyrr woke in the morning.
For a moment, he did not remember who he was, where he was, and why he felt so miserable.
It was a blissfully beautiful moment, before reality crashed down on him.
He had been framed for murdering Leo, then his pride had turned against him, and now he was here. Alone. In pain.
He felt the injustice of it all. Just a day before, he had been enjoying the company of sweet, honest Lussa. What would cause her to turn against him as well?
And who was behind this? He felt a deep hatred, a yearning to make whoever it was pay dearly.
Kyrr stood up and stretched, feeling his wounds protesting. He winced stiffly and glanced at his reflection in a muddy puddle. His face was marred with scratches. He did not want to see more, and he swiped his paw across the surface to shatter his image.
He felt a cold determination settle over him. Lifting his head to the misty sky, Kyrr took in a deep breath.
He would get to the bottom of this.
