Update number 2 for today. Hope it makes up for lost time.

"Have a good day, hon."

I smile at mom nodding as she beams at me from the passenger seat before Ethan drives away.

Taking a deep breath, I look at the gate.

What it has in store for me is a mystery weighing on my shoulders. Just two more tests.

Atleast I didnt have to ride with him, I remind myself. Off to a good start I guess.

Pulling the strap higher over my shoulder, I hang the backpack before striding in.

Although I'm just a little late, hallways are deserted. All the students already inside the classes. I pass by the windows, catching drifting voices of the students inside.

My quick steps shift into a jog. What if my class is already started.

Reaching the stairs, I grip the railing and skip two steps at a time, knowing nobody's watching. My comfy striped pajamas permit me enough room to jump all the way to the top floor and not even worry about a stretch.

Already breathing heavily, I reach the final step and rush ahead to turn the corner.

"Whoa," I dig my feet in ground to a halt,"hold on-"

The girl in front of me is the last person I was hoping to come face to face. And this early! Forget it.

"-Who do we have over here." She drawls in her steely voice that screamed nothing but extra hours of gym and cans of energy drinks.

When I don't answer, she shifts her weight on one foot as her long tanned legs glisten underneath thigh high skirt. Folding her arms over her skin tight crop top she tilted her head a little. Her hair falling down her shoulder in tyrant waves.

"Aren't you the one who spun lies about being Hayden's sister?" Her eyes narrow as they roll towards the ceiling thoughtfully.

Why's she acting like this after what she did to me yesturday.

She spits the word 'sister' out as if I was having mercy over myself by this association.

Ya Allah, not with this sister brother thing again!

I'm sick of these two words.

"I don't know what you're talking about." avoiding the entire thing seemed like the best option. Better play along in her game.

"Oh?" Her lips form an 'o' in mock surprise as her predatorial steps dance closer to me," why you acting like you don't know me?" Feigning hurt, she plays with fabric of my loose shirt.

What on earth!

Frowning, I hold her wrist."I don't know you," I lower it down, already feeling uncomfortable, "now if you'll excuse me..."

I side step her, ready to turn the corner when I'm suddenly pushed back.

"Hey...agh!"

Before I know, I land hard on my butt. Bag slipping away from my arm.

My eyes shut at the impact. I feel the heat spreading inside my head where it hit the ground. Momentarily blinded by the stars that practically dance in front of my vision.

I blink.

Both in shock and pain.

Did she just push me?

She still stands there. Towering over me. From this angle, she looks like a giant as she bends over.

I still haven't found any word in my throat. Or in my head. It was all blank. Evaporated in a poof.
