You finally arrived to the big city, Mondstadt. Two guards were standing at the entrance, and they greeted you in unison.
You walked in to a welcoming sight. There was a small flower shop in the right with beautiful flowers. A little girl was selling them. On the left, you could see a man crafting some equipment. It looked like a sword.
You walked deeper into the city, seeing Katheryn, a gift shop, Good Hunter the restaurant, a general goods store and even an alchemy table.
In the middle of the city there was a fountain. You walked over to it and started to play with the water. Thoma went next to you and told you to stop.
"Aw, come on, it's fun!" you whined. Thoma couldn't resist anymore. He put his hand into the water and splashed you a little.
"Hey!" you screamed, then splashed him back. This went on until it bacame a water war. When Ayaka and Baal arrived there as well you were already soaking wet.
"Could you please stop acting like you're a child?" Ayaka told you.
"Nope" you said back and splashed her as well. Thoma and Ayaka looked at you in horror. They know how ill-tempered their Archon was, and they knew that you death was soon coming.
But nothing came. Baal just stood there, now with a little bit wet hair. The two people from inazuma just stood there, surprised.
Baal took a deep breath.
"Please, stop it." she said, annoyance in her voice.
"And why should I?" you talked back. Sometimes it seemed like she was your teacher and not the other way around.
Baal then suddenly zapped your foot. You jumped up a little, but it didn't hurt too much. Actually, it didn't hurt at all.
"You started it" she said. But you continued. Wind started to swirl around you, and soon there was a small tornado. You mixed in some electro into your little tornado, and started to bring it towards Baal. She barely dodged it, and you stopped the huge amount of wind with a rock wall. Then, before letting your old friend land, you zapped his foot and she fell onto the ground.
"Just how much power do you hold?" Thoma asked you.
"A lot" Baal answered for you. She was now on her feet again. "She is at least ten times stronger than me, even after all the time she spent training with me."
Your friends' mouths dropped. They knew how strong Baal was, and the simple thought of someone stronger of her made them scared.
"Let's go look around!" you broke the silence, and finally got out from the fountain. But before you could run away Thoma grabbed your wrist. He put a jacket over your shoulder. It had the same scent as him.
"Thank you!" you smiled then walked up the stairs. The others rushed after you.
You arrived in front of a big building, that seemed like a cathedral. It wasn't anything special on the outside actually.
You opened the doors and walked inside. The cathedral was very beautiful, it was really shiny and clear. A few sisters were inside and they were either sitting and praying or doing it while standing.
"May Lord Barbatos be with you" a sister greeted you. You suddenly realised she said Barbatos.
"B-barbatos? Where can I find him?" you suddenly asked. The blonde female just chuckled.
"You little dummy, he's up in the heavens guarding over us." she said. You suddenly remembered that he doesn't go by the name Barbatos anymore.
"Then is there anyone you know named Venti?" you asked her once more.
"Oh, you mean the bard? I think he's probably at angel's share right now." the girl answered.
"Thank you!" you said while running out of the cathedral, almost bumping into Thoma.
"Where are you going now?" he asked while running after you.
"Angel's share" you said then continued to run towards the said location. Thoma tried keeping up, but he barely could. You were running too fast and he was already exhausted.
You ran past some buildings, went down a few stairs and you finally arrived into angel's share, where your friend, Barbatos was supposed to be.
You opened the door leading into the bar where a red haired man greeted you.
"Hello. What can I do for you? Is there anything you'd like to drink?" he asked.
"Where's Barba- I mean, Venti?" you quickly asked.
"Ugh, that good-for-nothing bard? He left about ten minutes ago. If you're searching for him you can find him at the big tree near one of the statue of Barbatos."
"Thank you!" you bowed, then ran out again. The red haired man just sighed.
You ran down the same streets again, meeting with your friends. You stopped in front of them.
"Barbatos is at the tree. You know, the big one!" you quickly told them and started to run again. Thoma was out of breath so he didn't run after you anymore, but he still walked faster than the others.
You ran past an adventurer on the road, greeting her quickly, then continued your journey. When you could finally see the gigantic tree clearly, you spotted your old friend. You started to run even faster, excited to see him. You didn't know why you were this excited, you didn't even remember who he was. But you were sure he was important to you.
"Barbatos!" you yelled. The boy turned around in surprise, he hasn't heard that name in ages. But before he could see your face, you were already hugging him tight. When you finally let go, he looked into your eyes.
"Y/N...?" he quietly said. Tears slowly started to form in his green eyes, and he embraced you.
"I thought...i thought you died!" he cried into your shoulder.
"No... I'm here. And I'm alive"
