A hilichurl jumped out of the bush with some other enemies.

"Quick, get behind me" you told Thoma, as you started to make a whirlwind form in your palms, and after a few seconds released it, making the hilichurl back down.

"Let's make a run for it, I don't wanna ruin my dress" you said as you started to drag your date by his hand.

Suddenly, a hilichurl shot an arrow towards you.

"Look out!" Thoma yelled as he made a barrier appear around you, making the arrow bounce off of it. "That was close. Are you sure we shouldn't fight them?"

You stopped in your tracks. Thoma backed away a little from you, giving you space to attack your chasers.

A geo wall was suddenly created around the enemies, some of them even bumped into it. The boss tried to break it with its shield, and the other with its axe, but it didn't even leave a scratch.

Thunderstorms started to gather around their heads, and soon rain fell out of it in a huge amount. It filled in the geo barrier, making some of the hilichurl drown in it. Only the big ones survived, but not for too long, because after the rain came a lightning strike, then another and another and another, until they finally got finished off.

"Phew, let's go home now" you wiped your forehead.

Suddenly, you felt something wrap around your waist. It was Thoma's arms. You could feel his warmth and hear his heartbeat. It was beating fast.

You didn't say anything, you just stood there and embraced the new feeling his hug gave you.

Then suddenly, it started to rain.

"It wasn't me!" you said. Thoma just laughed.

"Let's go, silly, we don't wanna get soaking wet now, do we?" he smiled at you as he grabbed your hand and started to run with you.

Soon you got back into the Inn where two worried women were waiting for you.

"Where have you been?!" Ayaka asked.

"To the lake, we went to see the sunset." Thoma answered.

"And why didn't you come back earlier? You could see there was a storm coming! What were you doing?" Ei out her hands on her hips.

"Hilichurls attacked us and we had to take care of them." Thoma answered again.

"You saw there was a rain coming?" you looked at him in confusion.

"You didn't?"

"Enough of the chit-chat, let's get the two of you into something dry." Ayaka said.

"But I can't get si-" but before you could finish an angry woman was already dragging you into your room, ready to put you into some dry new clothes.

As she locked the door behind her and made you change, she sat down beside you with glitter in her eyes.

"So, how was it?" she asked, her smile in the air.

"The fight against the hilichurls? Oh it was pretty good, they were easy to fini-"

"No silly! The date."

"Oh. It was pretty amazing actually."you blushed a little.

"What did you two do?"

"We walked, we fed ducks, we watched the sunset, we hugged and we walked again."

Ayaka looked at you in disbelief.

"And what did you two talk about? Did you finally confess to him?" her eyes lit up again.

"No, not really.. But he told me about his past year!" you smiled.

Ayaka facepalmed.

"So, let me get this straight: all you did was walk and he talked. And there was a little hug. Is that correct?" you nodded.

"GIRL YOU CANT BE SERIOUS!" she raised her voice a little then laid back in bed. "Remind me to teach you how to go on a date the next time you go on one, okay?"

"Alright.." you looked down on your hands, and couldn't help but smile a little, since you still felt the warm of his hands on yours...
