The Date

"Get the other dress!"

"No, she looks better in this!"

"But this highlights her eyes!"

"Yes, but makes her waist look bigger"

Ayaka and Ei argued. They were trying to decide which dress you should wear, and it was not working out.

"Can't I just wear my normal cloth-"

"No! Don't even think about it!" the both of them said at the exact same time. At least they could agree on one thing.

"Let's dress her in blue!" Ayaka said.

"Purple is a better colour. And you can't change my mind" Ei argued.

"Can't I choose what I wear?" you asked.

"Alright, but only if you choose something nice." Ayaka said.

"Thank you!"

You went over to the wardrobe. You looked inside and saw a bunch of nice-looking dresses inside. You instantly spotted a F/C dress, and got it out of its place.

"This one." you said, holding the choosen dress in your hand.

"This one actually looks nice." Ayaka said.

"I agree" Ei continued. You had a big smile on your face, because you finally chose a dress and made the two of your friends stop fighting.

You quickly put on the beautiful dress you chose, and spin around in front of the others.

"How do you like it?" you asked them.

"I must say, it has been a few thousand years since I've seen you look this beautiful." Ei smiled.

"Thank you" you giggled.

"Now let's go, we still have to do your hair!" Ayaka started dragging you.

Baal grabbed a brush and started to do your hair. It was just a little bit messy luckily. A few moments later your hair has been fully brushed, and it looked like it has been renewed. Ayaka put a hairpin into it for the finishing touches.

"And you're all done" they said. You looked in the mirror and your mouth dropped to the floor.

"Thank you" you smiled at them.

"Don't even mention it" Baal said.

"Now go, we wouldn't want you to be late" Ayaka started to push you outside, where an elegant Thoma was already waiting for you.

The moment he saw you walking towards him he froze in place. He felt a kind of excitement he haven't felt for a long time.

"Did I make you wait too long?" you tucked your hair behind your ear.

"N-no, that's okay. I mean, I only got here as well" he blushed. You let go of a breath of relief.

"Then shall we get going?" you smiled and grabbed his hand. You enjoyed teasing him.

"S-sure." he said after finally processing the thought of you going on a date with him while holding his hand.

"By the way, where are we going?" you asked him.

"I thought you were the one making the plans for us" he answered you.

You facepalmed. This man was unbelievable.

"Well, since you don't really have any idea where to go, then maybe, if you'd like of course, we could take a walk around the lake." he offered. Your face lit up.

"Okay!" you smiled happily, making him smiled back.

The two of you started going down the stairs, out of the Inn, until you've finally reached the lake.

"Hey look Thoma, there are ducks! Let's feed them!" you started dragging him.

You had some bread crumbs with you for an unknown reason, so you could feed the cute little animals. You gave some bread to thoma too so he could join you in the fun. When you were done duck feeding the both of you stood up and continued walking.

As you were walking you saw others walking past you: a family with two little children, then two other parents with their babies. You also saw a few runners as well and bycicles went by too. Then you saw couples, who were holding hand, talking, laughing, some just sitting on a bench holding each other. You didn't realize you were looking, but someone else did.

"Y-you want to do that too?" thoma shyly asked. You shit your head towards him, a slight blush on your face.

"Oh, was I looking too much at them?" you tried to dodge his question. But he slowly slipped his hand into yours, making you even more surprised. Now you looked away from him, blushing as hard as you never did before. So this is love.

After a while you finally set down onto a bench. The sun was setting, and it looked amazing in the water. You and Thoma were still holding hands as the two of you were watching the sun go down. But you didn't say a word. You barely said anything throughout the entire date actually, you simply enjoyed his company and the way he talked. His voice was really calming.

When the sun finally went down and stars were up, the two of you started going back to the Inn to rest. As you were going back no people came your way anymore. There was really no one, which was really strange.

You heard some rustling from a bush.

"You hear that too?" Thoma asked, finishing his speech about the dirty floor he had to tidy 3 weeks ago.

"Yeah, it's coming from that bush. You think we should check it?" thoma nodded to your answer.

You started going closer and closer, and suddenly, a hilichurl came out of it. And if it wasn't enough, it brought some other company as well...
