Oliva Pov:

My father and I had just moved into our new house on the bay of obx. It was fully furnished and modern. I walked up the grand stairway and turned towards my room. I laid out on my bed and stared at the blank walls. This place did not feel like home. I was used to the cold air and deep woods of Ohio but I was ready for a fresh start...I just needed time to get used to this new feeling.

One thing I did look forward to was my new school. I was excited to meet new people. My dad seems more excited then I am because he thinks it will be good to get away from my old friends. He always said I hung out with the wrong group of people. Honestly I would like for him to be proud of me for once.

After we finished unpacking our clothes my father and I ate dinner together. He begged for me to make the right decisions this junior year and to keep my grades up. I have never been great at school but It's not that I don't like it, it just never clicked for me...

After about an hour of my dad lecturing me about how I should act this year i decided it would be a great time to go to my room and go to bed, my mind needed a break from him pounding rules down.
