INT. BANNER'S LAB ­ MORNING

[Back in the lab, Steve puffs up his chest at Tony, who just stands there, unmoving.]

< Put on the suit, let's go a few rounds.>offered, Steve.

[Thor laughs at them.]

<You people are so petty... and tiny.>stated, Thor.

[Tony rubs his head. Moves away from Cap.]

< Yeah, this is a team...>stated, Banner.

< Agent Johanson, would you escort Dr.Banner back to his...>said, Fury.

< (that caught starks attention) I am sorry agent Johanson. You are a Johanson now really?>exclaimed, Tony's sarcasm was evident in his voice but pain appeared clearly in his eyes.

[Daisy didn't answer she didn't tense. Her body stayed still and relaxed but she kept glaring at him sending sharp knives his way.]

<so apparently I hate her last name?>asked, Tony.

<It seems to me that she changed her name but that you dislike the fact that she did so.>said, Natasha

<why would Mr stark hate it, it sounds like a nice name?>wondered Peter

<Don't know kiddo.>answered, Tony.

<why would she change it?>asked, Pepper.

<Often, agents use different names because of an old past or an enemy they do not wish to deal with again.>said, Natasha.

<Where? You rented my room.>said, Banner.

<The cell was just in case...>said, Fury.

[The entire room glared at Fury who didn't seem fazed at all.]

<In case you needed to kill me, but you can't! I know! I tried! (A BEAT) I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out! 

[The room fell silent. Bruce has admitted to something this big and they didn't support him, they didn't even notice, because they were in a stupid discussion.]

<Ban-nn [Steve stopped to collect his words] Bruce I am sorry. "[ He looked at the other Avengers, they were all in guilt either looking at their shoes or just standing there and letting their guilt out. We are sorry for not noticing you say that for not even stopping for a second after you said it, for fighting because of our vendetta with another person and making it about you. Bruce, I am very sorry.>apologized, Steve.

<it's fine cap_p, I didn't even notice it slipped up [he smiled a thin smile that quickly faded into a frown that he tried to hide. he won't be fine, especially after Hulk took control for so long two goddam years!!!>reassured, Bruce.

<Bruce listen to me> pepper demanded in a firm but gentle tone [the kind she uses when Tony doesn't want to go to sleep because of nightmares.

<Pepper I'm fine, it's been a while>defended Bruce, but his voice seemed modulated and masked.

[Natsaha and Clint and Fury picked it up, and so did Pepper. she is not a trained spy but she dealt with Tony for long enough to tear through masks as if they were tissues.]

<I won't say I understand, as I can't begin to try how to comprehend it. I won't say this is easy I mean I lost control for one hour 

[Tony looked at Pepper, she didn't notice him she was too busy giving her speech. he held her hand tightly to support her as she mentioned the Mandarin and he couldn't help but remember her falling thinking that she was done, gone forever he closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he calmed down his grip on pepper hand relaxed.]
