Another long ass chapter!! Yayyy!!! Yeah, I'm sorry about the delay, but I promised a lot of fluff and a connecting transition to the main plot. Here it is, only with a little more angst towards the end than I anticipated.

I chose to make Walk Me Home by P!nk this chapter's song on the soundtrack because it has a balance of fluff and angst that complements this chapter. It also depicts how Dabi comforts Jaclyn from her traumatic experience of being a yakuza hostage and the anxiety she got along with talking about it. Even though she was treated better than Eri, some parts of her experience were still traumatic. Dabi helping her process it is almost too close to the song's vibe. That's why I swapped it out from "I.F.L.Y." by Bazzi. You can play it at the "*'" point if you want to make reading this chapter a more enjoyable experience.

The only thing I have to say is we don't deserve soft Dabi!!! I need a soft Dabi in my life, I love him so much. He deserves the world ;-;

So yeah, um, enjoy.)

Chapter 6

A Different Perspective

The next day...

"So you teleported away from the yakuza and barely escaped since Chisaki's guards are relatively overpowered?" Touya reviewed what Jaclyn experienced. "Yeah, it was terrifying." She confessed, snuggling into his chest. *'"I'm glad you could maneuver yourself out of there. He's definitely a guy you don't wanna mess with, princess." Dabi answered, running a hand through her wavy black hair. "It was weird, Touya. I think he found a way to control people and make them do what he wants them to do, but allow the people he controls to sustain their thoughts and thought processes. When he sort of brainwashed my body, I felt so panicked over what could happen to me in those moments. And it wasn't just me, some of the heroes were there too." Jaclyn's eyes watered as he held the antihero closer. "You don't have to say anything you don't want to, y'know." He interrupted and let her rest her head on his chest.

"I want to tell you all this. Anyway, I heard that they somehow got a hold of Midnight, Edgeshot, Shade... Even though I was right there I couldn't see them. I couldn't get them out. I feel like such a terrible person-" She rambled steadily, feeling more emotional.

"Hey, we're gonna get them out of there. I...I got a new job to, uh, help with the case, so I'll do as much as I can. We're gonna fix this. You don't need to worry, baby." Dabi murmured soothingly, pecking her forehead. "A job? Touya, that's incredible! I'm so happy for you, babes." Jaclyn gushed and cheerfully buried her face in the crook of his neck. "But how?" She raised a brow and curiously looked up at him.

"The detective thought I could give him a lead on the case since he associated me with you. The 3 year or more prison bail is pretty sweet too." He explained, holding her close. "Wow, that's remarkable. I'm so happy for you! Let me know if I can help, okay?" The heroine gushed and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I think you could. I'm not working alone, so I'd save my team some time if you came to the station with me tomorrow. Just not in one of my shirts, the detective and that angry blonde kid-" Touya suggested and kissed the shell of her ear. "You mean Bakugou? Oh my gosh...you're working with Bakugou on this investigation, aren't you?" Jaclyn conspired in between giggles.

"Yeah, yeah, he's not so bad when you give him the motivation to work hard." Dabi groaned as she kept giggling. "I can't believe you went from kidnapping Katsuki Bakugou to working with him on taking down Overhaul. Wow, that's wild." Jaclyn commented in between giggles. "I'll have to introduce you to Akemi and Rosaliá soon too. Rose said she'd have my head if I didn't introduce you to her, and Akemi's working on the case with me and Bakugou." Dabi insisted. "If Bakugou is there, Midoriya is probably on the case then too." Jaclyn guessed. "You never stop being smarter than you look, princess." Touya chuckled and leaned back against the headboard of the bed. "I missed you since the last time we did anything like this, Touya. So, so much." She confessed abruptly, making their faces burn up. "I'm always gonna miss you when you aren't around, baby. Should I say 'welcome to the case' now or..." He trailed off, changing the subject.
