Memories: Fake smile?

'Ugh.. What do you want now?!' I yell as they drag me to an un-used club room. 'Satisfaction' One says under their breath. My anger only grows. 'Aw look at the little cripple, why are you so mad~?' A pink haired girl says with a smirk. I clench my fist. 'I'M MAD BECAUSE I ALWAYS GET HURT BY NOBODY'S LIKE YOU!' I yell as I punch her in the face. 'WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'NOBODY'S? YOU STUPID CRIPPLE!!' The girl said charging at me. I quickly run out of the club room, but she eventually catches up to me. She pushes me and I fall onto the cold floor. 'Ugh...' I manage to slip out. A small tear falls from my left eye. 'Aw look at the cry baby a green haired boy says with a smirk. I lay on the floor accepting my defeat until, I remember how Rei never  tried his best to never give up, How I inspired to be like Rei.

Arlo's memories pov;

I was a small kid around 7, I was born in a abusive household. I had no siblings.. Just a neglecting Mom and a abusive dad. I had gotten used to being beat up, I have gotten used to my barrier not being helpful. After all my dad could normally break through it. I always went outside to the sunflower field to ignore my pain and be distracted by the beauty. One day a saw a pink haired girl with a tall green haired boy. I ran up to them and greeted them politely. 'Hello my name is Arlo, and who must you be?' I ask. 'Hello! I'm Rei and this is my little sister Remi! How old are you?' The minty haired boy said with a smile. 'I'm 7, How old are you two?' I ask. 'I'm 5! And he is 9! The pink haired girl said brightly. I blush a bit. The minty haired boy was really nice and he was really beautiful, I felt free next to him, he was so pure. 'I.. think I like the boy..' I thought to myself. 'But I won't be accepted in my house ever again if they find out..' I sighed as the thought processed in my brain. I snap out of my thoughts when I feel a hand touch mine, it was the mint green haired boy. 'Do you want to make some flower crowns with me and my sister?' He asks with the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. 'U-U-Uhm.. Sure-!' I say smiling. 'Why is it so dang hard to talk to him now?!' I thought in my mind. 'Okay so you do this and then this and then this and then.... Done!!!' The pink haired girl instructed me. I follow her steps and end up making a beautiful sunflower flower crown. We play for a long time and then it turns into sunset. 'Today was a great day! I hope we see you again!' The minty boy says as he holds my hand. They start walking to there house. 'Hey uh wait!' I say as I run up to them. They turn around. 'Uhm h-here..' I say giving the green haired boy my sunflower flower crown. I saw him blush a bit. 'Thank you..' He manages to make out. I smile and head back home. I see my dad in the kitchen arguing with my mom. I start to feel empty I hide behind a wall eavesdropping into their argument. I heard my dad yelling about my mom cheating and my mom was defending herself. 'YOU KNOW WHAT. WE ARE OVER!' I hear her scream as she storms to my direction. I quickly but quietly run upstairs to my room. I lock my door and begin to cry. I remember how I got the pink haired girl and the minty haired boys phone number so I text them but.. for some reason my messages won't deliver. I hear bottles smashing downstairs and then I here stomping up the stairs. I knew that this was a sign that he was soon coming in my room. My head starts throbbing and I feel like throwing up. I open my window looking for any excapes. I climb out of my window making sure not to fall but I end up failing. I hit the grass and I cough up blood. But that doesn't stop me. I jump over the fence and go to the sunflower feild. I fall on the ground unable to move. Tears sting my eyes and cover my cheeks as I fall unconscious.

'HEY WAKE UP!!' I here someone yell. My eyes slowly flutter open. 'You're alive!!' They shout. I see the minty green boy sitting right next to me, alongside his sister too who was sleeping. 'W-What happened..? Ugh! My back..' I say. 'We don't know.. we found you here like this and we got worried..' The minty haired boy said with a weak smile. I look around scanning the area around me. 'I'm in a hospital..' I think to myself. 'What happened?' The minty boy asked. 'I remember being scared, I remember a headache, I remember a window, I remember the harsh air, I remember the sunflower field, I remember.. Him' I accidentally say out loud. The Green haired boys face looks more concerned after that. 'Him? Hmm' The boy murmurs. 'Well are you okay??' He asks as he scoots closer to me. 'Y-Yeah I-I think!' I say as my face starts heating up. After like a week in recovery, I was finally let out of the hospital. 'H-Hey Rei.. Can I stay at your place' I ask nervously. 'Umm sure!' He happily agrees. I spent a lot of my life there till I was 12. (Rei is 14) Remi is 10). 'H-Hey Rei.. could I stay the night? Just for tonight and then I'll go??' I ask sadly. 'Sure! But we are staying up!' The minty boy says happily. Me, Remi, and Rei all hang out in Rei's amazing room. His LED's were always on the color yellow. I sit down on the bed and then Rei suddenly walks towards me and sits on my lap, laughing a bit. Remi smiles and starts laughing uncontrollably when I push him off of me. 'Heyyy what's wrong lemon boy??' Rei said with a smirk. 'Shut up..' I whisper. 'Aww why didn't you call me my nickname??' He says pretending to be sad. 'Because... B-Because it's w-weird..!' I say as my face turns red. Rei smiles. I still had a crush on him and I didn't think it was ever going away. 'Guys I'm going to sneak in some snacks!' The pink haired girl said happily. 'Okay sis!' The mint green haired boy said with a smile. He sits next to me and smiles. 'How can someone be so adorable..' I think to myself. 'Why are you staring at me?' He says with the most adorable smirk. 'G-GAH I-' I start to say as I get cut off bye Rei kissing me. I kiss him back, I never wanted that moment to end, but you don't get everything you want. He stops kissing me and turns away. He was really red and so was I. I smile and hug him. 'I love you' I say to him without stuttering. He relaxes and turns around. 'I love you too..' He says back. We both hear Remi's footsteps and we spread apart acting like nothing happened. 'I'm back~!' The pink haired girl said happily as she handed us both some chips. My chip bag was green and Rei's chip bag was yellow. 'So what did I miss?' She asks innocently. Rei blushes. 'Oh nothing really! We were just waiting for you.' He says as he pats her on the head. She winks at Rei and he starts having a angry playful look on his face. 'So~ How'd it go?' She asked smirking. I was confused. 'Remi!!!' Rei said in a embarrassed tone. 'Hm what's wrong?' I ask confused. 'Oh yknow just to boys kissing while ones sister went to get food~' She says playfully. I took a second to process what she said until it hit my mind; she was talking about me and Rei. I throw my chip bag at her and cross my arms blushing. 'Hey!-' She's says while she's dying of laughter. 'Whatever..' The mint haired boy says blushing. We stay up very late, Remi fell asleep and it was just me and Rei. I look at Rei, he had small eye bags and he put the end of a pocky stick in his mouth. I smirk and then lean over to him and bite rest of the pocky stick. He blushes a lot, but he grabs my chin gently and kisses my lips. I push him away and turn the other direction and turn as red as a tomato. He carry's me and lays me on the bed. 'H-Hey!!' I manage to say before he sits down next to me. He smiles adorably. What are you doing?' I ask in a fake annoyed tone. He begins spooning me and we eventually start cuddling. 'Rei.. I'm tired..' I say. 'Okay then we can go to sleep' He says gently with a warm smile. I pretend to fall asleep seeing what he would do. After like 20 minutes he gently and silently get up and leaves the room. I follow him quietly. He goes to the bathroom and shuts the door I could here him sobbing. I start to get worried. He sounded so hopeless at that moment. I always thought he was so happy but maybe I was wrong.. Maybe I was blinded by a fake smile? I open the door silently and shut it. Rei was just shocked, sad, and upset. 'What's wrong..?' I ask concerned. 'I-I..' He manages to make out before having a mental breakdown. 'SHUT UP!!' He yells, more and more tears flow down from his eyes. He starts whisper a lot of things under his breath while his eyes kept darting  around the room. His skin turns pale and he looks really ill. He hugs his knees and begins crying more. I sit down and take a look at him for a second. Rei; The supposedly happy one, ending up like this? No.. that wouldn't make sense.. What happened? I hugged him. 'H-Hey calm down.. It's okay.. You're safe..' I said in a fake calm voice. Rei kept crying. 'W-W-What do you w-want from me?' He asks whispering. 'I want... you to be happy, I love you Rei.. please calm down. I spent like an hour confirming him before he was calm enough to go to bed. I hugged him tight and fell asleep. 'Wake up! Wake up lovebirds!!' The pink haired girl yells. I look at Rei, he had dark reddish eye bags. 'Good morning!!' He says with a bright smile. I get very sad and tense. 'So that's his fake attitude?' I think to myself. Remi leaves the room to give us 'alone' time. 'Why are you ignoring your emotions Rei?!' I say loudly as I crab the collar of his shirt. 'That Rei you saw is something you need to pretend you never saw! You weren't supposed to be there but you still were! Now... Please just ignore what happened... I wasn't myself..' He says in the saddest voice I've ever heard. '...If I didn't come, what would you have done? What trouble would you have got yourself into, Rei?' I say more harshly than I expected. 'I-..' He says as he falls to his knees. Tears begin tuning down his eyes. I crouch down and wipe off his tears. 'His tears are cold? I think that means discomfort..' I think to myself. 'I... I would have completed my plan..' Rei whispers. 'What was your plan? Running away? Doing something you're forced to do? Murder? Suicide?
