Chapter 15

It's been a week since Micah reappeared and we... you know, did what we always do. He still hasn't explained to me where he has been and it's starting to bug me. I know it shouldn't bother me because we aren't exclusive or anything, but it does.

I haven't seen any of the girls since the party either, especially not Theia. Shay has been keeping a wide berth from me, knowing I'm still upset with the fact they lied to me. On the plus side, Rogan and I did have our breakfast catch up the day after the end of summer foam party, where he told me all about his scholarship to Ridgeton College and I am super excited that I will be seeing more of him and Regan this year.

I'm sorting out my outfit for my first day of senior year on Monday when my bedroom door opens and Kayla walks in.

'Hey bitch, your mom let me in.' She plops on my bed.

'Hey.' I sigh, not liking the outfit I've picked out. I walk to my closet to change it before I notice something. 'Wait, weren't you supposed to be with Tré today?'

As Kayla is about to speak, Regan walks into my room. 'So why is Shay sat downstairs looking all doom and gloom and not up here with us?'

'I'm assuming Sage hasn't forgiven her yet.' Kayla raises her brow.

'There's nothing to forgive. It's their business.' I shrug, folding my arms, trying but failing to look unbothered

'You and I both know you're still pissed.' Kayla says.

'Fine! Theia may be my best friend, but Shay is my sister so when this goes to shit I am going to have no choice but to take Shay's side and I don't want to lose Theia over it.' I rant.

'Then just tell them that. I'm sure if it's not serious, they wouldn't want to put you in a position where you would have to choose.' Kayla replies.

Before I can reply, someone knocks on my door. 'Sage?' Shay calls out, opening the door a little. I don't respond so she pushes the door wide open and looks down. 'I heard what you just said. Trust me when I say it was just a fling, not even that. Theia and I have talked it out and it won't happen again. We were just both upset - her breaking up with Luca and me, Luna. Don't let this come between your friendship with Theia.' She rambles.

'And Kerrys...' Kayla raises her brow.

'Judas.' I mutter only breath.

'Sage. That's a bit harsh.' Regan says.

'Fine. Judith.' I roll my eyes, making the girls laugh.

After a beat I sigh. 'Fine I'll think about it.'

'I'm sorry I didn't tell you.' She whispers.

'Hmmm.' I respond.

She gives me a small smile before turning and going back downstairs.

'Are you not going to forgive her?' Regan asks.

'I already have. But she doesn't need to know that yet.'

Half an hour later, Kayla, Regan and I are sat in my move theatre getting ready to watch After We Collided. I did invite Shay, through Regan, but she's gone out to meet up with her friends. That girl is weird but I'm not getting involved. It's the last weekend before school starts and we always watch a film to end the summer.

I've been looking forward to After We Collided because let me tell you: Hero Fiennes Tiffin is fine. Having grabbed the popcorn from the built in kitchen, I go to sit down, but not before the door opens and both Kerrys and Theia walk in with their heads down and take a seat at the back of the theatre. As much as I am upset with them, it wouldn't be the same without all of my girls. Kayla looks at me all confused.

'I texted them.' I mouth, taking my seat. Kayla just nods, the girls get comfortable and without saying anything I press play.

'The ending..' Kayla gasps.

'I knew that was her dad.' Regan says.

'That's only because you've read all of the books.' I quip.

'Yeah, but still.' Regan pouts.

'My favourite part was the fight.' Judas, I mean Theia, pipes up.

'Which one?' Regan asks.

'Molly and Tessa.' Theia replies.

'That's only because you want to be in the middle of them.' Kerrys winks.

'You know me so well.' Theia chuckles.

'Clearly I don't know you at all.' I mumble, not meaning for it to be said out loud. The room goes silent.

'i'm just going to go... and rescue the cat.' Regan dashes out of the room, not one to handle awkwardness well. She's been like that since we were younger.

'Your cousin seems nice, from what I can remember of her.' Theia says to me.

'She's not into girls if that's what you were wanting to know.' I fold my arms.

'It wasn't..... but okay.' Theia mutters 'Anyway, is Shay not joining us?' Theia asks.

'Oh, I thought with you too being so close, she would have told you she's gone out with her few friends.' I say in some what hissy tone.

'Look Sage...' I hold my hand up, stopping whatever Kerrys was going to say.

'I'll come back to you later Judith.' Kerrys looks at me confused. 'Why Shay? You could have anyone in the world but you choose my sister, knowing how much it would affect our friendship.' I ask Theia.

'She's hot-' Theia starts but Kayla interrupts.

'Can you just be serious for once? Can't you see Sage is upset?' Kayla asks.

'I know.' Theia bows her head. 'The truth is, I didn't think about the consequences of sleeping with Shay.' I scrunch my face. 'We were both upset about our break-ups and it just happened. I'm sorry for hurting you by not telling you.'

'And I'm sorry too.' Kerrys pouts, knowing how hard it is for me to stay mad at her. 'But, Theia needed me and that meant not telling you both.' She glances over to Kayla as as well. I have a feeling Kayla is not too happy about being kept in the dark either.

'If it's any consolation, we've both decided it was super weird and it will never happen again.' Theia adds.

'After you slept with each other a few times.' I say, shaking my head.

'Who buys a car without test driving it?' Theia smirks.

'Ugh, that's my little sister.' I retort.

'And she's fucking hot. Luna is one lucky bitch.'

'She gets that from me of course.' I reply, which makes us chuckle. I feel the tension has defused a little bit.

'By the way, who's Judith?' Kerrys asks. Kayla and I look at each other before we start laughing.

'Inside joke.' We both say and gasp. 'Ahh Twintuition.' We squeal.

'Speaking of Luna...'
