"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,..." Yoongi watched Jimin as he counted the seconds for Holly while she stood against the wall, waiting to seek her father in the hide and seek game they played.

"You did it," Seokjin squeezed Yoongi's shoulder, "You saved him."

"Yeah." Yoongi smiled weakly at the elder.

"Are you happy?"

"I am." Yoongi looked back at them.

"Even if he'll never know who you were to him?" Seokjin asked.

"It's my debt to pay for leaving him alone, Jin."

"Yoongi-" Seokjin started.

"It was because of me that he was on that bridge. On the same day I left him a year later, he was going to do what I did. I had to take his pain away...even if it meant taking me away along with it." Yoongi nodded to himself.

When he had the chance of saving his husband from following his one footstep down that same bridge, Yoongi didn't hesitate. The cost of saving him was blurred to him, indifferent.

That's because Jimin didn't need to remember their marriage to live.

Jimin needed to remember to live.

Now, watching him from the other side and seeing him doing just that, Yoongi knew he was finally happy.
