The younger Routledge twin was laying on her bed scrolling through her phone when she heard the familiar voice of her brother at the door.
"Hey Haz u ok?" John B asked as he walked further into the room
"yeh why wouldn't I be?" The girl asked in slight confusion
"Well yesterday when i went to hug you why did you say no?"
Hazel sat there in silence at a loss for words. Does she tell him? Does she lie? Does she make up and excuse to leave?
"Are we playing the silent game again" John B chuckled as he remembered the game the twins use to play when they were there younger
"Rafe..."
"Rafe did what haz?"
"Rafe raped and abused me" tears started streaming down Hazels face as the images of Rafe raping her came flooding back to her. John B quickly noticed and pulled his sister in for a hug.
"Haz it's going to be ok, ok?"
The girl just sniffled which John B took as a yes.

Later that day, Kie had invited hazel over to help her get ready for the midsummer. The midsummer was this ball for all the kooks and kies family were kooks so she had to go and she asked for Hazels advice.
"So you really have to go to this stupid dance thing" hazel asked kie while scrolling through her phone
"Yep and I have nothing to wear" the Carrera girl replied in slight annoyance
"How about this" hazel stood up and went to Kiaras wardrobe and pulled out a beautiful silk silver dress
"Oh that won't be necessary hazel, Kiara already has this beautiful purple dress to wear, and a flower crown to go with it. Although that dress really would look good on you" Kiaras mum said as she walked through the door with a beautiful purple dress (just like she said)
"I would wear it if I could go but I'm a pogue so"
"You could come with me, as friends obvi!" Kie said in to much enthusiasm for Hazels liking
"Um n-"
"Oh that would be a lovely idea, Hazel put the dress on and you can come with us" Mra Carrera said and practically pushed the girl into the bathroom
Hazel didn't want to argue about if she went to the midsummer or not. She was going for kie. Before she put the dress on she stared at her stomach, the purple bruise. Thing one thing that made her insecure. She snapped out of her daydreams and slid the dress up and looked at herself again. She looked like a different person.
"So what do you think?" Hazel asked as she gave a twirl to Kiara
"You look amazing Haz and thanks for coming with me"
"Anytime there's free alcohol you know I'm going even if the kooks are there" the girls laughed at Hazels comment and finished getting ready.
Kiara ended up curling Hazels hair and did a silver eye look to match her dress. She finished the look with a red lipstick and she was ready to go.
"I look.."
"absolutely stunning I think is the end of that sentence" Kiara finished Hazels sentence
