Shi Ying 26 years old
Prince of Kong San and future Grand priest.
He's very cold and strict, and is in love with Zhu Yan. She doesn't know about his feelings and is in love with the leader of the enemy tribe, Zhi Yuan. Shi Ying gave her the Yu Gu (Jade Bone), which is (unbeknownst to her) what each emperor of Kong San gives to their future queen as a betrothal gift. Shi Ying meets the daughter of the Chi Clan, Zhu Yan, and becomes her teacher for three years.
When they were young, she joked that she should marry him, but he took it seriously, he even told the High Priest (Da Si Ming) that he would leave behind his role as the Grand Priest, for her careless words, he was ready to leave behind years of cultivation and become an ordinary person. It was only later that he realized that he had misunderstood.
As their fates are intertwined, Disaster threatens to befall Kong Sang Nation and Shi Ying mistakenly believes that the merman Zhi Yuan who grew up with Zhu Yan as the Sea Emperor responsible, and seals him. To avenge Zhi Yuan, Zhu Yan stabs and kills Shi Ying with the Jade Bone, the gift he gave to her.
Baili Hongyi, who seemed to be a passerby witnessed this and does everything in his knowledge to save Shi Ying. Later Shi Ying nurtures back to health but being heartbroken does not sets out to search for Zhu Yan. Having alreafy made up his mind to foresake his position as Grand Priest and no good relation with his family, he determines to live a normal life and allows Baili Hongyi to accompany him to the mysteries of the world which awaits and later both the geniuses found way to each other's cold heart.
