Chapter 6 The Race

Sheps POV as the midmorning rolls around.

Shep: "nice day for a ride at horse land."

Teeny: "yep, you said it, shep. The wind feels so good."

Anagora: "if you ask me, it ruins my hair."

Shep and teeny laugh as anagora tries to straighten her hair from the wind.

Teeny: "this is a perfect day. What can go wrong."

Shep: "well, injuries can happen. Best to always follow the rules. The only way to have fun is when you follow the rules."

Sarah walks past them

Bayle: "hey Sarah, you ready for the race that's coming around the corner?"

Sarah: "you bet. I've been waiting for this moment for a while."

Bayle: "I sure hope horselands paths are clean this time. No dumb trees getting in the way."

Sarah: "I hope not."

Bayle laughs as he gets on Aztec.

Bayle: "see you around. I'm gonna check the paths."

Sarah waves as bayle and Aztec rush towards the path.

You then show up

Y/N: "hey Sarah."

Sarah gives you a blushy smile when you show up.

Sarah: "hey Y/N, when did you look so handsome today?"

You blush a bit when she said that.

Y/N: "I normally look like this."

Sarah: "I think it has to do with your hair."

Sarah looks at Y/H/C and smiles seeing it.

Y/N: "your hair is always beautiful."

Sarah blushes when redder.

Alma and molly show up.

Alma: "hey you two. You both know about the race?"

Molly: "it's the biggest event of the season. Only one of us will be able to represent horse land."

Alma: "I don't really care about winning. I've been dying to feel the wind on my face again. And I'm sure buttons wants to feel that too."

Buttons whinnies and nuzzles almas face.

Sarah: "I'm sure the horses are."

Chole and Zoey show up.

Chloe: "you still talking about that race? You know, only one can enter the race."

Zoey: "i wouldn't waste my time with that. I have jumping to attend to."

Chloe: "me too."

Sarah: "before the practice, why don't we warm up by taking a trail ride."

Alma: "remember to follow the path. Dusty path is very rocky when you go off the path."

Molly: "yeah, me and alma are gonna take grassy plains."

Sarah: "i guess me and Y/N are going to valley four."

Alma: "great, we'll meet you back here by the barn in an hour."

You and Sarah take a ride on the path on Valley four. The breeze was very nice.

You look over at Sarah's hair in the wind. Her eyes were shut as she took in all the scenery.
