Jay's Perspective: (Younger twin cousin, 20)

I shake my head restlessly, pushing my sprawled body into a relatively comfortable position, despite the looming pile of luggage next to me. The car smelt remotely of old pizza and fresh pine leaves, a familiar smell, and one that I'm sure I'll miss for the next few months. I threw a sideways glance at my quiet twin sister, noticing her somber gaze and fidgeting hands. Of course, I was anxious too! It's not like the prospect of finally living away from my parents didn't scare me halfway to hell. Especially as it was forced. The passing neighbourhoods outside the window changed in a rhythmic slide, seeping into the friendly town that both me and Jemma grew up visiting. I felt a small tap creep up on my shoulder, and turned to see Jemma's reassuring smile float towards me like a butterfly to a flower. I couldn't help but wonder how my elder sister (only by three minutes!) managed to place such a sturdy mask over her emotions. I suppose she claimed all the maturity in our family. Not even my delusional parents, lazily seated in the front seats, could match her talent for leadership and responsibility. At least my sister or I didn't ditch the whole family to stay at Vagas for how many years. Yes, that's exactly why we have to stay with our cousins. Trying to break the last view minutes of silence, I awkwardly turned to Jemma with questioning whispers. "Hey, Jems? Aren't you worried?"

"Of course I am Jay. But I really miss our cousins. Even though they're a bit.... weird." She grinned, and I saw the fire that blazed in both of our eyes, bringing a smile to my own face. Jemma pushed her hazel bangs off her face, biting her lip as she hushed her own voice. I doubted my free range parents would approve of their strict rules either, but it was better than the current loose discipline we had. "Really, I want to spend some time with Tara."

"Right?! I've missed them so much."  My own blond locks were swept up into a loose ponytail as a smirk found it's way onto my face. Looking outside the misty window for around the seventh time this trip, I couldn't help but notice familiar details, drifting odours, echoing sounds. It's like a whole memory reignited. The smirk stayed on my face as I smoothly turned back towards my sister, who seemed to be having the same nostalgic thoughts as me. "Fuck, Author's gonna be on our cases. Might as well hold the tricks until he calms down."

"We're gonna mess that kid up so bad. My ass already hurts." Jemma snorted at me playfully, her sapphire eyes lighting up as the car wandered to a halt. I swung my car door open with a screech and started hauling our bags out, barely noticing whenever I bumped into something. "Oh well, lil sis, at least we have a home. Better than Vegas."

Jemma's Perspective: (Older twin cousin, 20)

Mischief floated past my eyes for a few seconds, but a struggling grunt from my sister pulled me out of the newfound fantasies, and I pulled my last bag out before moving towards my sister to lend a helping hand. Her bags were slightly heavier, the bulk obviously straining out strength although we managed a few loads out. As I stopped to take a breathless break, my gaze drifted from my sister's jade green eyes towards the beautifully contrasting sky, gentle white clouds drifting across our view with the speed of a snail. The sun dappled our overgrown surroundings, creeping up the side of our family mansion and reaching the lake on the far end of the property, barely visible through the lush forests and foggy atmosphere. My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the greetings of my second youngest cousin, Peter, as he rushed to help with the final baggage. I couldn't help but notice how much he'd grown, how much sadness seemed to weigh on his cheerful shoulders. You couldn't blame the kid, his parents just died a month ago and with his brother's strong grip, I doubt he'd caught a break. The last of the luggage heaved into the house, and a casual hug granted to our parents, I grabbed my cousin into a tight hug, holding back the threatening tears. "Peter! Pumpkin I missed you! How are you?!"

"Ahgsuwnw. Hi Jem, hey Jay!  I missed you too. Hope the trip wasn't too shitty,"  he proclaimed, gently letting go of me only to be engulfed in Jay's tighter embrace. His innocent excitement seeped into my mood, making me just as excited for our future life, although the fear didn't scram completely. "The others are coming up now, they're seeing your parents off."

"Cool, I can't wait to see them too," I relayed, fiddling with my hair nervously.

"Me either! We're so excited, nervous too," Jay winked, rolling her eyes affectionately. A gasp escaped her lips and she leaped to her feet once Ethan, Carter and Author walked in. They enveloped her in an embrace, and I soon joined, my happiness leaping through my throat. "I missed you guysssss! But where's Tara?"

"I was gonna ask you too."  I released my grip, and shifted backwards to search the room curiously. I knew Tara would be excited and she had barely enough self control to hide.

"Here. Quiet,"  Author smiled, showing us a dozing, curled up Tara, dried tears coating her face. Despite the oversized jumper and jean shorts, I could see her reddened thighs, an obvious reminder of some sort of punishment. In a few seconds, Tara tumbled, her eyelashes fluttering as she gazed around with curiosity resembling a baby. As soon as her eyes focused on up, joy struck her face and she bolted upright, wincing once she sat up. "Cussies!"

A/N: Re-read this and cringed. But, Tara's so cuteee!
