Hushed whispers and the regular beeping sound was heard as Taehyung clamped shut his eyes getting irritated with the orangish colour he could visioning even through his closed eyelids.
"Hyung? Are you awake?"
Taehyung inhaled a deep breath as he heard a familiar voice inhaling once again, the omega whispered something that was nothing but some gibberish until he voiced out his words clearly.
"Kookie?" Taehyung rasped as he blinked his eyes open the feeling of nausea and dizziness crashing down on him making him let out a groan making him shut his eyelids again wanting to get rid of the feeling.
"Yeah, yeah it's me Jungkook" the trueblood breathed out sitting back on the stool right besides the hospital bed seeing a doctor accompanied with a nurse hurrying in.
"Is he okay doctor?" Jungkook questioned observing the doctor who was checking Taehyung's pulse before he instructed the nurse to write down something.
"Kookie" Taehyung whimpered as pain shot up his abdomen, he patted his hand around the side of bed wanting to hold Jungkook's hand and sighed when he felt the warm palm placed on his.
"I'm right here hyung" Jungkook whispered as he brought Taehyung's hand up and kissed the older's knuckles rubbing the numb palm in his hands.
Taehyung finally blinked his eyes open squinting his eyes at the sudden brightness before his eyesight adjusted to the lighting he shifted his irises around until it landed on Jungkook as the trueblood had a bandage on his forehead and nose but still the younger smiled at him.
"How are you feeling Mr. Kang?" The doctor questioned after he let Taehyung adjust to his surroundings and used Taehyung's late husband's surname and flinched when the trueblood growled at him.
"It's Kim Taehyung" Jungkook grumbled huffed shooting daggers at the doctor who cleared his throat before he brought his attention back to Taehyung asking his question again.
"I- I feel pain in my abdomen and ache over my shoulder and my legs" Taehyung answered in a ragged voice his throat feeling dry, he told that he wanted to sit up as the doctor pressed a button down the hospital bed and the bed's upper half was lifted making Taehyung sit and Jungkook made Taehyung drink water.
"You were been injured a lot and also lost a lot of blood, all your wounds would take sometime to heal but there is one thing you need to know about..." the doctor trailed off as he glanced at the omega who frowned.
"Please continue" Taehyung said as he tightened his hold over Jungkook's hand exhaling a deep breath getting ready to hear whatever the doctor had to say.
"As you might know you were stabbed in your lower abdomen the wound wasn't that deep, but it did affect your reproductive system" the doctor let out his eyes trailed over the file he was holding before he looked up again, "And I'm sorry to inform you that you can't reproduce"
"Ar-are you saying I'm infertile?" Taehyung stuttered out his hold on Jungkook's hand loosing as he stared at the doctor his eyes getting irritated with the tears gathered in it wishing that whatever he was hearing to turn out as a lie.
"That's exactly what I want to say" the doctor affirmed before he explained some more details about Taehyung's condition which were all about his muscles and the terms Jungkook and Taehyung both could barely understand before the doctor took his leave.
There was silence with only the beeping of the machine being heard and Jungkook could feel how Taehyung had completely loosened his hold over his hand, still the trueblood clutched onto the omega's regulating his breathing processing the declaration done by the doctor.
