We've been on the road for about six hours, only stopping for bathroom breaks and food. We are now sitting in a small diner called "American Diner". It's about 6:30 in the morning so everyone is tired especially Willow because she decided to drive throughout the night to get to California faster. I order my usual order for anywhere I go, a french vanilla coffee, and 3 pancakes with covered in a lot of syrup.

"Hey pig leave me some syrup." Jesse whines to me.

"Hold on I will." Finishing up with the syrup and passing it to Jesse across the table.

"Thanks." He responds.

Willow head in her hands looking down at her food, "I think I can go only for a little bit more, we will have to stop tonight somewhere."

"Sounds good to me." Rhys says with a stuffed mouth full of his pancakes. A few pieces of saliva covered food pieced land on the table.

"Ryhs, don't talk with your mouth full. It's disgusting." Sam says.

"I'm so sorry!" Still with a full mouth he drags out the second word, even more food comes spiting out of his mouth. Sam just rolls her eyes in response to his childishness.

"Once I get some sleep we should stop at another place on our way." Willow says.

"Yeah, that sounds awesome!" Sam's expression changes from discussed to that childish grin that I always love seeing.

"Does anyone know anything around here?" Willow asks.

"I've never been this way." Jesse says.

"Me either." Sam responds.

"Same, but my parents have. I could call them and ask them where we can go" I say.

"Yeah, and make sure its not one of those boring places, like for learning and stuff."

"Don't worry I don't want to learn either. We just got out of school, I want to take a break before I go to college. Let me finish my pancakes and then I'll call them." I say as I fill my mouth with more pancakes.

I finish up my last pancake a few minutes later and I tell everyone chatting away that I'm going to call my parents. The barely acknowledge what I just spoke. Giving up I grab my phone and head towards the door. I walk outside and sit on the bench a little bit from the door. I enter my phone password, tap on the little app at the bottom of the screen. I find my parent's phone numbers and dial my dad's first. It rings... and rings... and rings... and rings, until finally his voice comes through.

"Hello, this is Gregory Jacobson..." I open my mouth to say something when from the other end comes "... I can't come to the phone right now. Leave a message and I'll get back to you soon as possible." The message ends and a few seconds later the beep sounds.

"Hey, its Alex I just had a quick question but I was going to call mom so never mind." I answer.

I try my mom's number next. She actually picks up her phone this time.

"Hey honey, is everything all right?" She asked worryingly.

"Yeah mom everything is fine but I have a quick question." I say.

"Yeah anything for you."

"We are towards the bottom of Idaho and we were wondering is there any places that you would suggest for us to visit?" I ask.

"Um let me go get something." She says, before I can say anything you hear her put down the phone and you hear her foot steps make its way away from the phone. Not knowing what to do I look around at my surroundings. We are on a very desolate road only a few other roads leading away into other parts of the extremely small town. A girl with very unusual silver dyed, ombré hair, coming down just past her shoulders. From my angle she looks about 18. Her arm that she is sticking out is covered in bracelets. She has light blue shorts on with a white tank top. Legs crossed she's sitting on a black suitcase, right ont the side of the curb.Thumb out she sits there as cars pass by not giving her a second look. She looks harmless, I understand why people tend to not trust people that stand on the side of the road with their thumbs out trying to catch a ride with some stranger. She takes a deep breath and stands up walking towards the diner.
