T.w :: suicidal thoughts, depressionStars light the sky like snow-flakes in the night, yet appear still, like an old photograph. Y/n weakly smiles, feeling the wind blow her hair into a tousled mane. Were she out there in space, riding the limits of the known universe, they would be a choreographed blizzard. How the stars would move, the galaxies tumble and dart.
But for now, with her arms around her scraped knees and her head leaning gently on her knees, The constellations, who'd witnessed centuries and millennia just the same, watched over this tiny moment.
Through the glass was the ever changing art of the sky, the clouds that brought infinite images of beauty. There was something in that feeling of gratitude, for all those gifts given so freely, all for spending a moment gazing into the blue.
It's that day of drowning, here again, the cold wash only She can feel where She don't want to get up. She don't want to move at all. And in that moment it takes all the strength She have to make a good choice, to reach for an oxygen tank and take a breath and that's her good mood music playlist.
It gives her the thoughts she need, that She is someone worthy of love and joy. The first tracks aren't easy. They show the tears in her soul, but without that how would the soul stay alive?
So she let them call to her and bring the salty rivers. This is how She stay alive. This is how the universe reaches her and tells me good things are coming but when? She sat there on her bed, with red knuckles, sore throat and tear stained cheeks in front of the mirror thinking about what she've became, trying her best to not cry loudly considering that her roommate is still inside their apartment.
"Y/n, Hoseok is here so can I let him In? " her roommate shouted from outside not having any idea about what's going on inside the room. Y/n heard her voice as she sat straight, clearing her sore throat, thinking about why he's here.
"Yea, you can let him in!" She replied with no hesitation while trying to keep her voice stable, trying her best to not make it obvious that she just had a breakdown, hurriedly standing up, she grabbed a dry cloth, wiping away her already dried tears, not leaving a clue.
After placing the cloth aside, she makes her way towards the door and Just when she was about to open the door for letting Hoseok in, someone knocked the door. "Y/n! Can you please open the door, I wanna talk about something with you!"
She sighed after hearing his honey-like voice running through her ears before taking a last look in the mirror, she opens the door just to see the chestnut haired boy standing in front of her with a beautiful smile plastered on his face.
"Come on! Move aside, I bought you your favourite macrons and bubble tea!" Hoseok ordered her, pushing her aside gently as she followed him from behind, Hoseok already made himself comfortable in the bed as y/n sat beside him on the bed.
Taking a sip of the bubble tea he brought with himself with love, she too, a glance at Hoseok who was busy munching on the macrons like a giant baby. Both of them were silently munching and sipping on the food, gazing out of the window as the stars shone brightly in the dark sky.
"What did you came here for?" She asked him in her deep voice as Her voice remained as warm as early spring, as if her heart beat so steadily even though she took a different view from the other side.
"Actually, I have noticed that you've been having a hard time & I know that I could've just asked you before but I didn't wanted to make you uncomfortable.
I just want to let you know that you can be yourself around me because no matter what I'll always accept you for who you are!" His words left her shocked because all
this time, she thought no one noticed how she was losing each part of her everyday, she thought that no one cared about her but then there he is, the lad sitting right beside her.
He looked at her before ruffling her already messy hair. Opening his arms wide open for a hug as she hurriedly slid into his arms, feeling the warmth of his body. His hug was stronger than anything She has ever known, as if holding her wasn't quite enough, he had to feel every ounce that She is pressed into every ounce that is of her.
In that moment of feeling him so close She is awake somehow, more alive than She has been in so very long. For there are times where she is a butterfly who yearns for the cocoon, to be safe within walls, protected. That's what She feels like as It helps.
"This depression," said Y/n, "it is as if there is a force pressing down on me and you know, This depression is the result of being bullied for so long for pointless
reasons, of never being able to express your love for others as humans are born to do, it hurts me so much that it feels pointless now." The girl bawled, breaking down in his arms.
Hoseok didn't uttered a word and let her stain his coffee coloured hoodie with her tears as She let them fall, not raising a hand to stop them. They splashed down onto his fabric in a rain-like pattern and soaked in leaving dark splotches on the coffee coloured fabric.
There was more where that came from, what percentage water was she anyway? Less than a cucumber but certainly enough to cry for hours. And what then? Then she'd drink another glass of water and start all over again.
"Shh~ it's okay cupcake, you can let it all out" Hoseok reassured her, patting her back gently as now small sniffles came from her. In this storm, in this wind that howls, he was the gentle centre And so She come to rest at his side.
"Y/n, I just want you to remember that I will always remain here by your side whenever you'll have a hard time from now on, always remember that we're in this together okay?" Hoseok said before cupping her cheeks suddenly, making her laugh as somehow it ended up tickling her.
she pushed him away while laughing, dissolving herself into a puddle of laughter and He could see her stomach shaking as she fights a new gale of giggles, making him smile.
"Thanks for coming this far Y/n" he gently mumbled under his breath before attacking the girl with tickles who was already at the edge of dying due to the laughter.
And that's how both of them spent the starry night as The midnight sky became a sweet embrace of starry black, a fresh chance to dream anew, with both of them smiling.
[ Some gazes are the promise of protection, his was all that and more. ]
