~ Soulmate ~

You danced down the streets of newyork, music blasting into your ears as you reached your favourite park. Sitting down you looked up into the baby blue sky imagining what it would be like to run across the fluffy clouds that scattered across it, you looked around but a frown quickly formed on your face seeing all the happy couples walking hand in hand. See you hadn't found your soulmate yet and that upset you, almost everyone you knew had found theres months ago yet you still hadn't found yours and you began to believe you would never find them.

You layed back humming to the lyrics hoping your soulmate was somewhere in newyork hearing these lyrics and songs, that was the only real reason you listened to music anymore just to try pick up on someone humming the lyrics or dancing to the beat but it just never seemed to happen.

Nats pov:

"God Nat what are you humming now?" Tony asked as i skipped down the street infront of them humming what i was hearing

"Soulmate song" I answered not even making eye contact with him

"Maybe there in Newyork" Clint said as i turned to face them all

"Hopefully" I mummbled. Whoever this person was they never stopped listening to music, they always were listening to something but it would stop inbetween 6am and 4pm so im guessing that was when they were working. It was around 6:15 now and i was walking to grab coffee with the other avengers.

Readers pov:

I ran down the street cursing under my breath. How the hell did i manage to fall asleep at the park, I ran round a corner as i tripped on the same pipe i did every morning causing my headpohones to unplug my music filling the streets. Thats when i noticed as i had tripped id bumped into someone. Looking up i saw a group staring at me, I quickly stood up and turned off the music.

"I am so sorry" i apologized to the group. I felt like i had seen them before

"Its..Its fine" I heard a womans voice speak up, i turned to face her and was met by the most beautiful girl i had ever seen. Short red hair that curled up perfectly just above her shoulders, plump pink lips that looked so soft they might aswell have been cotton candy, emeral green pools for eyes wich i could slowly feel myself gettig lost in.

"Hello? you still with us?" The man at the back asked waving  a hand infront of my face. He looked overly dressed for someone walking round newyork, very fancy i noted

"Um yeh sorry, ive got to run now sorry" You took off running towards the coffee shop knowing your boss wasn't going to be very impressed at this time

Nats pov:

I watched as the girl scrambled to her feet and took off down the street

"Awww think romanoff has a crush" Clint exclaimed earning him an elbow in the stomach

"T..The song she was listening to" I looked to everyone

"Thats the song i was humming to" Tonys mouth dropped open as Clint and Steve began giggling and jumping around

"Go get your soulmate romanoff" I felt Wanda put a hand on my shoulder trying to keep her cool

I turned on my heel and walked towards the coffee shop she had ran into following behind me were the rest of the avengers as we all walkend in. I saw the y/h/c (Your hair colour) girl standing behind the till messing with the radio as Dandelions by Ruth B began playing. This seemed to be her favourite. We all took a seat on one of the sofa's (couches) in the corner but i still couldn't take my eyes off this girl.

"For god sake Romanoff just go talk to her" Clint whispered nudging my shoulder

I turned toward him and shushed him as i watched her plug her headphones into the radio and i could hear the lyrics not to loud but loud enough. As he chorus came on i walked over to the till next to her grabbing her attention as she took one headphone off. I smiled and looked at her before singing along to the lyrics quietly

"'Cause I'm in a field of dandelions" I began

"Wishing on every one that you'll be mine" She sung back as our eyes locked

"And I see forever in your eyes"

"I feel okay when I see you smile" She looked at my lips then back up at my eyes

"Wishing on dandelions all of the time"

Readers pov:

HOLY SHIT NO WAY, my mind was blowing up as i sang the next line

"Praying to God that one day you'll be mine"

"Wishing on dandelions all of the time, all of the time" We both sang at the same time, i paused the song and i couldn't help but smile at the redhead her gorgeous eyes looking straight into mine. I went to speak but before i could

"Natasha thats my name" She said, her voice was so soft it was mesmerising

"I..Im Y/N" I stuttered

"Its nice to finally meet you Y/N, nice music taste by the way" She laughed a little, oh my god it was the cutest laugh i had ever heard

"Its nice to meet you too" you couldn't help but continue to stare at her till you heard someone shout

"Romanoff stop firting for 2 seconds and get my coffee" It was the overly dressed man from before

"Shut up Tony, hey Y/N wanna come over and meet my friend" She asked me, it was strange how her mood changed so quickly

"Uh yeh sure" you walked out from behind the till and followed Natasha

"Guys this is Y/N, Y/N meet the avengers" I gave a small wave as all eyes turned to me. Natasha sat down gesturing for you to sit next to her but you quickly shook your head

"Im suppose to be on shift if my boss sees im not working he'll be even angrier" You laughed a little as you took all of there orders then returned behind the till. You couldn't help but keep glancing over at the redhead, shes was just breath taking. How lucky were you to have a soulmate this perfect?
