(y/n pov)

the damp grass of the quad began to perk up in the 4 am sun.

it was colder than i would have liked, yes, but what can i say, im canadian, it doesnt bother me.

the plan was nowhere near complete, it was halfassed and held together with elmers glue and desperation.

we werent playing to win anymore, we were playing for honour.

city college would not disparage greendale on my watch.

"so how do we get in without being seen?" i asked.

"well, we do have one option," troy said, looking to the roof.

"you cant be serious," annie grumbled.

"is that the only way?" i asked.

"its either that, or we go down janitor alley," troy responded.

abeds head snapped in troys direction.

"but, nobodys ever gotten through janitor alley alive, only covered with paint," abeds voice trailed off.

"i take it we need some upgrades then?" i asked.

they looked at me in confusion.

"montage!"

abed and troys smiles grew.

we filled silicon gloves with fry oil from the food truck out front.

we found a pair of rollerskates for me to wear, the tag inside reading 'leonard'.

we even found a cache of loose pellets in a lunchbox, also reading 'leonard'.

"i would have liked the montage to be longer, but this will suffice," abed said.

"why dont we go for a little more," i said, shooting abed a smile.

we added stripes of paint under our eyes.

troy ripped the sleeves off his shirt.

"thank you, thats much better," abed said.

"alright, time to go into the belly of the beast,"

"janitor alley," jeff finished.

"are we sure we can do this?" britta asked.

"if we play our cards right, we can get through no problem," i reassured her.

we came to the end of the road, the other end displaying a set of double doors illuminated by emergency lights.

nobody to be seen.

"stand back," i said quietly.

there was a not-so-straight line drawn in multicolored chalk from one end to the other.

a few garbage cans lined the walls and i could only imagine what lay idle for us inside.

"so whats our plan?" britta asked.

"we get them," i tossed a oil balloon in my hand, "to come to us,"

i threw the balloon to the middle of the alley, quickly ducking behind the wall and slightly dead bushes.

"what the hell was that?" i heard a male voice say.

"i dont know, dipwad, go check it out," another said.

"you know i dont like that nickname," the first man said shuffling around inside the closest left garbage can.

"abed, you ready?" i whispered.

he nodded and saluted passed his tied bandana around his head.

the man hopped out, stepping directly on the oil and holding on to the edge of the garbage can for stability.

abed pulled his gun in line with the man, letting only one shot be necessary.

"damn it! whos there!" he yelled.

a second man climed out from the other garbage can. "did you die, moron?" he said.

"yeah, somebody's watching us,"

"no duh,"

i motioned for troy to cut the power.

bingpot.

"what the hell!" the men yelled.

there was still a slight glow from the sun, but just dark enough we could evade detection.

abed shot again, this time missing the second man.

he pulled out his gun.

"alright you little rats, come out and no ones gotta get shot,"

we held our breath.

britta was the first to make a move.

pop, pop.

"britta!" troy said quietly.

"aha! the study group, is it? well, youre not getting away with it this- woah!"

"abed go!"

one shot was all it took.

"are there any more of you?" abed said.

"youll never get that outa me," the man said.

"theres 5 isnt there?" said abed.

"w-how did you-"

"he knows things," jeff said.

"so, where are they?" abed asked, tossing an oil bomb in his hand.

"ill tell you theres two on the roof, ready to shoot at my signal,"

"but youre dead, you cant give the signal," abed said.

"damn it!"

i skated by on the roller skates, dropping a towel over the spilt oil. "cmon guys,"

i was at the door, propping it open with leonards lunch box.
