After eating breakfast, Linda and Paul were on their way back to the hotel when Paul caught the eye of a bike hire, a thought popping into his head.

"Hey." He stopped. Linda turned, unbeknownst.

"What? You're not having a funny turn are you?"

"I'll just be a minute." He said and went over to the man running the hire. Linda watched with a puzzled expression.

What the hell is he doing?

She watched him talk to the man, unsure of what they were talking about. The man nodded and Paul handed him some money. He then turned, waving her over. Linda walked over, confused and absolutely terrified.

"What's going on?" Paul smiled, a horrible sign.

"We're going on a bike ride." Linda's expression was not positive at all but Paul didn't expect it to be. Everything she felt was kept on the inside.

"Umm. Why?" She laughed confusedly.

"You have ridden a bike before, haven't you Linda?" He raised an eyebrow comically.

She rolled her eyes. "I thought you wanted to get back?"

"It's Miami." He effused. "Why be inside when you can be out in the sun?"

Linda gave him a look. "For starters, sunburn, that can lead to skin cancer."

Paul sighed. "Look, I've paid now so we're doing it. Which one do you want? There's a blue one and a pink one." Linda glanced at the bikes and back at Paul, a small grin on her face. Paul's face fell. "Don't do this to me."

"You shouldn't have given me the choice." She said and took the blue one. "Enjoy."

"I will," Paul said sharply, getting on the pink bike. "You can lead the way this time."

"What?" She jerked her head at him. "I don't know where to go."

"Just follow your heart." He smiled. "As long as you don't get us completely lost."

Linda laughed sarcastically and looked for a direction for them to go. She had no idea where she was or where anything was. But, the mystery enticed her. It had to after reading all of those books.

"Right, come on." She said and started pedalling.

"I'll be right behind you."

With the wind blowing lightly against her face, combatting the harsh rays of the sun, Linda was actually starting to appreciate Paul's idea as they cycled down a path close to the beach. She knew as long as she could see the beach then she could follow it back to where they came from.

"Linda!" Paul called suddenly from behind. Linda turned, seeing Paul getting off the bike a bit behind. She put her foot down and held her hand over her eyes to see better. When Paul saw her looking, he pointed across to an ice cream van and nodded with a smile. Linda sighed.

Positioning the bikes against each other, she sat down and watched Paul ordering ice cream. She couldn't help but smile, that man was not a man at all.

A few moments later, he walked over with two ice creams, both dripping with strawberry sauce and sprinkles, a flake on top to finish.

"Here you are." He passed her one, sat down next to her and began devouring the ice cream starting with the flake that he sent right down into his throat.

"Thanks." Linda looked at him with concern. "You could choke from that." Paul tried to speak back with a full mouth which totally backfired, the only thing Linda was getting was muffled gibberish and a load of flake bits spat at her.
