After when the turbolift stopped and I got out, I went to Ten Forward in hopes that I could make Wesley remember me.

I walked into Ten Forward and I saw Wesley, sitting at a table with Commander Riker and someone else who I didn't know.

I walked up to the bar and I said to a bartender "A water please, 5 degrees celsius."

He smiled and nodded, going away and getting my drink.

He came back with my drink and he gave it to me.

"Thank you."

I walked over to the table that Wesley was sitting at and I said "Hello."

Commander Riker smiled and said "Ensign, how are you this evening?"

"I am doing great." I said and smiled.

"Y/n," Commander Riker motioned towards the man I didn't know and said "This is Commander Data, and and Data, this is Y/n."

"Hello Commander Data." I said.

"May I sit down?" I asked, and Commander Riker nodded and motioned to an empty chair.

I sat down and looked at Wesley and I asked "How are you all doing?"

Wesley smiled and said "I'm good."

I looked at Commander Riker and I asked "What about you?"

He smiled and said "I'm great."

"Commander Data, how are you doing?" I asked.

"I believe I am adequate."

I smiled.

There was a voice on Commander Rikers' communicator "Commander Riker and Commander Data, report to the bridge."

Commander Riker tapped his communicator "Acknowledged, let's go Data."

They both got up and left, leaving me alone with Wesley.

"Y'know, we used to know each other when we were children."

Wesley looked at me.

"Really?"

"Yep, do you really not remember me?" I asked.

"I do remember you."

"You look different."

I smiled "Wes, of course I look different, we haven't seen each other for a decade."

He smiled widely.

"Don't be a Vulcan." He pointed at me.

I smiled, slightly banging my hand on the table "My mom said the same thing Wesley."

I giggled.

"We used to be such best friends Wes, I'd like to be friends again if you don't mind." I smiled at him, my drink up to my mouth.

I took a drink as he said "Yes, I'd like that."

I smiled "So Wes, what exactly do you remember?"

"That you loved butterflies, you were crazy for them."

"Didn't I catch one?" I asked, remembering.

"Yes, you did, then your mom told you to let it go."

"Actually, my dad told me to let it go." I smiled.

He nodded "Right, I remember now."

"I heard your dad died, is that true?"

I nodded "Yes Wesley, it's true."

"Do you miss him?" He asked.

I looked Wesley right in the eyes.

"Yes, I do."

"I hardly remember him though, he was always away on the starships others could only dream of being on." I said.

"Of the memories that you do have of your dad, they're nice ones, right?"

"Yes, he was a great father, he died when I was 8 years old." I said, tracing the circular edge of my water glass I had set down on the table.

Wesley looked at me with a sad look in his eyes.

"My dad died too."

I smiled reassuringly "Our fathers wouldn't want us to mope around, Wes, they should be remembered they way they want to be remembered, as a great father and as a great friend."

He smiled "Thank you y/n/n."

I looked at him with my eyebrows slightly raised "Y/n/n?" I asked, at the audacity he had to call me that embarrassing nickname.

His cheeks turned pink.

"I didn't think you'd remember that nickname Wes."

"I liked calling you that one." He was quiet, and looked down, embarrassed.

I smiled "I can tell."

"I have a question." I said to him.

"Yes?"

"Remember that one time when we thought it was a good idea to climb a tree?"

He smiled "But we couldn't because they were all very tall trees."

We chuckled a bit.

It had fallen silent between us two, and someone walked up to us.

"Hello."

"Guinan." Wesley said, smiling.

"Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?" She smiled.

"Y/n, this is Guinan, Guinan this is y/n."

"Nice to meet you Guinan." I said, giving her a tiny wave.

"Mind if I sit down?" She asked and I shook my head no.

"Go ahead." I smiled.

She sat down and I admired the way she dressed.

"Guinan, I must say you have an amazing sense of fashion." I said.

She smiled and asked "Do you wanna know my secret?"

I nodded softly.

"I dress how I feel like dressing." She says.

I smiled, a small chuckle leaving my mouth.

Wasn't expecting that.

We all spoke until I started to get a bit tired.

I yawned.

"I'm gonna go, I'm very tired." I smiled.

"Goodnight Wes, Goodnight Guinan." I said.

"Goodnight y/n." Wesley said.

I got up, walking out of Ten Forward.

I walked to the turbolift and I said "Deck Six"

After I was delivered to my desired floor, I walked out, and I went to my quarters.

I sighed, wanting to get some rest.

I changed out of my uniform and into a pair of pajamas.

I went to bed, excited for what tomorrow might bring me.
