*A month later*

"Hey, y/n, meet me in Ten Forward when you're done with work, I want to talk to you."

That sentence rang in my head all day as I worked.

What does he want to talk about?

When I was done, instead of going straight to Ten Forward, I went to my quarters, putting on a more casual outfit for the occasion.

I went to Ten Forward and I saw Wesley sitting alone at a table circling his finger around the rim of his water glass, staring into it intently.

I walked over, sitting down and I asked "What's up, Wes?"

He looked at me and he said "I can't hold this in anymore.."

"What is it?"

He looked back down at his glass "Y/n... I.. like you, a lot, and I just had to tell you, I couldn't hold onto that anymore."

"I know that you love me, Wes." I smiled.

He looked up at me, his face showing a look of pure worry and horror.

"Well, I d-don't love you exactly.." His brown eyes stared into mine.

I smiled "Yes you do, you love me, Wes, you know you do, and I know you do."

There was a brief silence.

"Wes," I said and he looked at me "I like you too."

I smiled softly.

He gave me the biggest smile he could and he said "Let's go on a date."

I nodded "Yes, when?"

"Tomorrow?" He asked.

I thought about it for a minute.

"Yes."

He kept smiling.

"You keep smiling like that your face will start to hurt." I smirked.

"I know, I know, I can't help it, I'm so happy."

I sighed, smiling.

"I like you, a lot"

Thanks!
