The Malask Incident

Location: NO Route 1, in Malask City, with team RWBY

As they teams were driving down the highway they noticed flashing lights behind them. As the pulled to the side a loudspeaker turned on.

Loudspeaker: This is the New Orderian Highway Patrol, get off the highway immediately.

They pulled off and a police car followed by a few motorcycles passed. A MCPD car pulled up behind them and closed the ramp off the highway. The on ramp was also blocked by another police car. A few more motorcycles passed before they saw what was coming. A convoy of blacked out SUVs, 3 semi trucks, a couple police cars and 6 police motorcycles. They passed and after a few minutes the road was reopened.

Weiss: We might as well follow them.

So they followed the convoy as close as possible when suddenly a police car blocking an on ramp was pushed over a guard rail and a box truck rammed the lead SUV. That SUV flipped and the box truck blocked the convoy. Gunfire broke out as police and NOID agents fought back the attackers. This did not go in their favor as the doors to one of the semis was blown open and someone climbed out. Inside were 4 dead soldiers who were burning and the attackers ran into the city as more police cars arrived.

Loudspeaker: This is the Malask City police, protocol 1 is being enacted, get to shelter immediately and listen to military and police officials, this is not a drill.

Helicopters filled the skies as a manhunt began and every exit to the city was closed by the military. Team RWBY and JNPR split up to help the military officials in the city as smoke rose from a nearby street.

By the time they got there team RWBY found a burning police car, a burned cop's body, and a police officer having a mental breakdown trying to perform CPR on the corpse. They tried to get the officer's attention and he pulled his gun.

Officer: Get back! Don't try to attack!

The officer clearly didn't know what just happened and was clearly injured based on the burns across his left side. He continued trying to resuscitate the other officer while pointing his pistol at the group.

Ruby: We are just trying to help

Officer: Get the fuck back is said!

Since the officer clearly couldn't be helped they kept looking for whoever did this. While walking a few police cars passed and an police MRAP followed them. There was also distant gunfire between what we can assume was the military and whoever was in the box truck.

Once again when the team reached the location there was nothing left. A helicopter had crashed and there were plenty of injured soldiers. There was also a line of destroyed police cars surrounding a store and broken glass across every store on the block. Another few helicopters flew over and gunfire continued down the street.

Time skip: 2 hours

They had finally gotten to a place where the fighting was still occurring. There was gunfire from inside an abandoned apartment building and from soldiers surrounding it. Helicopters were circling and firing in through windows and a hole in the roof. What looked like a rocket was shot out and it impacted a tank blowing a hole in the upper front armor and destroying the gun. The crew bailed as smoke rose from inside. A few seconds later ammunition that was stored in the gun exploded blowing the turret clean off. 

Soldiers continued to fight back until an order to retreat was given. Team RWBY was still watching from the sidelines as soldiers got into their vehicles and pulled back. A singular tank remained at a distance providing suppressive fire for the retreat. After a minute two CAS bombers flew in and bombed the entire block. The fireball shot into the air as napalm was dropped. Soldiers moved back in and fired into the burning debris. After a few minutes and another semi arriving to take the bodies the fire department was called in. 

The entire FDMC was deployed for the tons of injured soldiers, cops, and civilians caught in the crossfire. At the location of the bombing the first units were engine and ladder 28 followed by station 54. The firefighters watched as the entire block burned and started trying to handle it.

Chief: 5-4 battalion to dispatch, broadcasting a 3rd alarm on the box. Military napalm bombed it to stop the attack.

Other fire trucks arrived and attempted to stop the blaze from burning nearby stores or jumping the street. This was not successful because the burning napalm had already been launched across the road and ignited another block.

A mobile command center was set up and the other battalion chiefs gathered around it. Team JNPR also arrived to see the shitshow unfold as fires continued to spread.

Chief: Stations 12, 28, 54, continue with the containing the fist block. All other hands switch to the second block, stop that from spreading.

A few police helicopters circled as the fires continued to rage for a hours. The alarm was raised to 4, then immediately after to 5. Not even 20 minutes later it was a 6th alarm. After this they managed to contain the second block which to be honest only stopped because the fire had burnt everything there. The first block was also mostly under control. It only took 5 hours and a few hundred firefighters from two cities to handle it.

A bit of random shit I though of while coming up with Malask and New Orderlands:

Malask was created to resemble 1970-80s NYC with everything having the paint jobs of that era, FDMC would have an all red truck with gold lettering and white numbers. It would also have a large, rotary light bar. The MCPD is similar with the solid blue car with white stripes.

New Orderlands is intended to be a early 2000s to modern NYC, the FDNO is exactly like the modern FDNY and the NOPD is like the NYPD with only one strip not two. There is also a central strip from the hood to the trunk on the NOPD cars. At some point I will post the sketches I have of all the departments and military vehicles
