Location: Courtroom, Goalaria, Remnant

Charges: 10 counts of murder in the first degree, 1 count of terrorism, 2 counts of assault on a peace officer, 12 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, 2 counts of illegally modifying a weapon(SBR, fully automatic).

Defendant: Jason Aldenoiv, male, 18 years old

Specifics: Jason Aldenoiv is on trial for his involvement in a mass shooting. SecDiv claims the defendant was the lone shooter and it was planned out beforehand. Should the suspect be found guilty he will face the death sentence.

Prosecutor: Mr Aldenoiv, where were you on the night of the shooting?

Aldenoiv: I was carrying out the word of the lord! My mind sees through the shadows and I know the truth! They didn't believe and they were taken care of.

Counselor(defense attorney): Your honor my client is clearly mentally unstable and as such I am pushing for you to give him proper mental health treatment.

Aldenoiv: Counselor I am able to speak for myself. I will carry out things as the lord wants! All of you will die starting with those who try and call me insane!

Aldenoiv jabbed a pen into the head of his lawyer and ran forwards to the judge. The SecDiv court officers in the room drew their guns and opened fire killing the suspect. Before he died he gave a single threat.

Aldenoiv: I am the first of many, you will see the fall of man.

Location: Vale outskirts

Team RWBY had been enjoying their time in a rebuilt Vale. They walked and relaxed until they got a call over their scrolls. They put away the scroll and began to run towards an entrance to the city.

A few NOHP and NCSO cars had been chasing a van that was linked to the cult Aldenoiv was in. The van was believed to hold some WMD. Team RWBY arrived to see VPD cars lining up and officers setting up weapons while the sirens from the chase got closer. A bit down the road was the final NO attempt to stop the van.

The roadblock was the final Hail Mary of NO law enforcement before the suspects reached Vale. Considering NO officers were better armed than the VPD this final line was the best chance at stopping the van. Two stop the pursuit everything Net County had was being set up. Spike strips were laid across the road, the fire department had helped make dirt mounds to force the car to crash, a dump truck was being set up across the street to block it. Unfortunately it was to late.

The van hit the spikes but the dump truck wasn't in place yet so the van slipped past. The deputies opened fire on the van to try and kill the driver or pop the tires faster but they failed. They cleared the road fast as the other patrol cars came through and the deputies joined the pursuit.

The van reached Vale with the entire NCSO and a decent portion of the NOHP behind it. A few deputies were leaning out windows firing on the van in an attempt to stop it. The van rammed through a roadblock the VPD had made and drove down the road. NO law enforcement was given permission to enter Vale to aid in the pursuit so the patrol cars followed as the VPD hurried  into their cars.

The van rammed into a mall and the patrol cars came to a halt. The officers, deputies, and troopers ran towards the building when there was a flash and the entire mall exploded. Gas flooded the area and people dropped to the ground choking. The cops outside were killed fast with the only survivors being a few NCSO units who managed to grab shitty gas masks in time. In total 9 deputies remained to handle whatever the fuck was in the air.

The deputies walked around trying to help people but the few people still alive had their insides boiling. The cops watched as a woman vomited her organs which were mostly liquid as she died. The deputies radioed for help but they were met with static. It dawned on them that this was it, these 9 men needed to handle the thing without much help. The only help would come when someone outside of the gas called for help and they hoped the first responders would be wearing gas masks. 

The officers grabbed shotguns and first aid equipment from their cars and walked around the gas cloud looking for help. They noticed a bus filled with people banging on the windows as gas slowly seeped in through the vents. The deputies only wrote on a piece of paper to plug the hole and hope for the best. They couldn't open the door to help because then more gas would spill in. They kept walking occasionally hearing the sirens from distant emergency vehicles and engine of bulkheads flying over.

The deputies looked around for another hour, where they swore they were going in circles, and only saw more dead bodies. They saw movement and thought it was the fire department or more cops only to see 4 teenage girls with weapons. Those 4 being team RWBY.

Deputy: What the hell are you doing out here?

Ruby: We were sent in to find survivors but got lost. Wait... are those New Orderian uniforms?

Deputy: Deputy McReary, Net County Sheriff's Office.

Yang: McReary? We met a cop from the Lamcosa police department with that same name.

McReary: That would be my brother, there is probably a McReary in every Remnant law enforcement agency, within NO territory of course. Now you said you were sent in, where was the gas at before you entered?

Weiss: 28th street, in the residential district.

McReary: That can't be right, the mall was on 111th street. That distance is fucking 8 miles! We are in the middle of the commercial district.

Ruby: Isn't beacon 9 miles from here?

McReary: Do your scrolls work? Our radios can't transmit through the gas.

Blake: I can't get any signal. 

While everyone was talking a deputy collapsed onto the ground. Everyone walked over to see a gap in his arm with the blood boiling on contact with the air. The deputy was screaming in pain as his bones melted and he pulled out his pistol. There was a bang and the deputy's blood and brain matter was sprayed across the street before boiling. The group looked at each other and noticed small bubbles forming on their skin. They grabbed cloths from a store and wrapped their arms before duct taping them on. It was a panic not to touch the air before they became a melted pile of gore and when the finished their rags they checked each others. Any gaps were patched with duct tape and everyone calmed back down slightly. The deputies found a compass and everyone walked in the general direction of beacon with the religious of the group praying to god not everyone was dead from the gas.
