Location: Lamcosa, Poldos County, New Orderia, Remnant(long location name I know)

Team RWBY a and JN(P)R we're waking up when they heard sirens go off. They ran outside thinking it was a Grimm attack, to be fair air raid sirens in Remnant usually are for Grimm. Instead they saw heavy rain, thick fog, and high wind speeds. Flashing lights shined through the fog as a patrol car passed with the recognizable Irish accent of McReary being broadcasted over the car's loudspeaker.

McReary: Attention! This is the LPD! A tornado has touched down half a mile west of Lamcosa and is approaching rapidly! Seek shelter immediately!

The police car continued driving repeating the order while anyone on the street ran into buildings. The two teams have never seen a tornado outside of the Vytal festival fights so this is a new hell for them. I want you to imagine the worst storm possible and hearing that the wind was your enemy. They can hear what sounds like hundreds of trains approaching as the tornado gets closer fast.

Yang: Where do we go?

The teams walked down the street with the wind blowing at their backs when there was a flash of lightning. Directly ahead of them was the tornado tearing apart a two story brick building. A few cars were being tossed like toys while the deafening roar of the wind filled the air. The teens immediately turned around and sprinted for safety. They were running when a white pickup landed upside down ahead of them and they saw a severed arm beside the wreck. They turned down an intersection and forced a manhole cover open. They dove into the sewer and waited for the tornado to pass.

Minutes went by when they couldn't hear the tornado anymore and they climbed out of the sewer. The streets were filled with debris and wrecked cars. Sirens from emergency vehicles and the air raid siren itself still sounded and the barks of rescue dogs could be heard in the distance. Smoke was rising from the rubble and the team decided to go in the direction the patrol car went in hopes of finding anyone.

They eventually did find the police car but not in the condition they were hoping for. The car was rolled upside down in a ditch with every window shattered. Inside was two officers trapped and calling for help.

McReary: 1-Lincoln-19 to dispatch, 10-13. Officer down, we are upside down on Route 8. Get me fucking anything to get us out of this wreck.

Ruby: Officer McReary! Are you alright?

McReary: Me? Mostly. My partner? Not in the slightest. I need a tourniquet, belt, anything that can be used to stop the blood flow to a limb. He has a sign post through his thigh.

Jaune took off his belt and passed it through a tiny gap in the window(most of the car crumpled) to McReary who used it to stop the bleeding. Ruby then used her scythe to cut the rear door off of the wreck. She climbed in and helped McReary out of the car before pulling out the injured officer.

A few WFM helicopters(from everyone's favorite WFM station: Panorama) flew over and McReary pulled out a road flare to signal them. A helicopter landed and McReary explained how he needs his partner to be airlifted to a hospital. The firefighters in the back worked on the officer's injuries while a few more check out the teens and McReary.

McReary insisted that he stay behind and help find more victims and he grabbed whatever he could from his patrol car before walking back towards town. The teens decided that if they were really hunters and huntresses they needed to go in and save lives.

McReary: Listen kids, I know you aren't going to the evac site so here is what we are going to do. The number of victims probably outnumbers the amount of firefighters in the county. GFD is at least 2 hours out and WFM will get here in force in about an hour. Military between 1 and 2 hours by land, 20 minutes by air. We need to assume that none of that gets here on time. We are going through every collapsed building, check for any gaps and announce yourselves as search and rescue. Everyone understand?

The group all acknowledged and they moved towards the rubble. McReary commandeered a few shovels and axes from a supplies store and they began digging through the rubble. For the hell of it let me explain what McReary looks like right here. He has a bandage around the top of his head, a damaged police cap over that, blood coming from his nose, a rifle slung around his back, a medical kit on a sling, road flares, and a torn police uniform. He is not taking shit today and will be the last person to stop digging through rubble if he gets his way.

Weiss used a glyph to open up the entrance to a collapsed shop and everyone entered. McReary shined a flashlight around and spotted a few injured people. The teens got out anybody that could move on their own and McReary did a fireman's carry for someone with a broken leg. He placed down the victim and was beginning to set up a splint when there was a few siren blips. An ambulance with firefighters hanging onto the back had pulled up but was blocked by a fallen tree. Ruby cut the tree and everybody pushed it off the road. The people pulled from the rubble were all loaded into the same ambulance that was apparently ferrying people to the hospital.

The group kept digging for hours when the sound of sirens got loud again. At first they though another tornado had touched down but then tons of fire trucks and ambulances rolled down the street. Firefighters filled the area as the GFD, WFM, and DRM arrived at once. McReary was told to report to incident command at the police station with the group of hunters. They arrived and saw soldiers, firefighters, paramedics, cops, and military officials walking around trying to handle the disaster.

McReary: 1-Lincoln-19 reporting.

Police chief: Heard you went around town pulling people out of the rubble yourself since being pulled out of your own wreck. I assume these 7 are your accomplices?

McReary: Yes they are sir.

Police chief: Damn good work, all of you. Now you all have two options, go home, or stick around looking for victims.

McReary: You already know my answer.

Ruby: We aren't backing down.

Police chief: Alright, get some rest for a bit and report to the DRM tent for orders. One more thing, you will likely see the deceased, be prepared.

The group got some rest before going back out. Rescue efforts continued for the next 36 hours before team RWBY and JN(P)R went on their way. The death toll was 29 with 601 injured. The DRM changed the building codes in Remnant to better suit possible tornadoes. When the teens arrived home they were greeted by Oscar and a small group of NO officials who were trying to save the NO reputation in Vale.
