Location: Marinovic River, Orange County, New Orderia

Loudspeaker: All remaining crew, a temporal rift has opened beside the ship, we are evacuating to Orange county. Get to a lifeboat or helicopter immediately. All damage control teams are to regroup on the forward deck for briefing.

The Survivor had been caught in a rift and the result was a burning through the lower decks, the main power offline, and a large crack in the hull of the ship. The ship had drifted half a mile down the river as lifted off the last portion of the main crew. It was necessary to stop the fires burning and prevent the ship from sinking fully in order to salvage anything. It would also have untold environmental consequences if an irradiated ship filled with hazardous ordinance ended up in the bed of one of the nation's largest rivers .

Damage control men stood on the deck as smoke billowed out of every opening in the ship. Flames rose from the openings at deck level and spotlights from helicopters shone through the haze. In total there was 15 sailors all standing on the deck wearing red firefighter helmets, tan turnout coats, SCBA, and dark blue fireproof pants. Behind them was the ship's NCT personnel wearing their normal combat gear with gas masks. The captain of the vessel stood at the front with the head damage controlman as they formed a basic plan.

DC head: I want hose lines inside of the lower levels now, figure out what is burning and get as much out as possible. Plenty of the vessel is a loss so don't bother to put out the fires not threatening the main body of the ship.

Captain: NCTs, retrieve any ordinance you can. I want every shell loaded onto a boat, helicopter, or dumped into the river if there is no other option. We cannot let the Survivor detonate while the DC crew handles the fire. Everyone needs to work with the local firefighters when they arrive, they are the ones that trained the DC team, they know what they are doing. If one man, Dubalt, arrives you listen to him specifically. Move!

The NCT personnel adjusted their gear and headed into the ship through a door as two damage controlmen dragged a hose behind them. The heat was extreme and fire rose from the lower parts of the ship. The central stairway had flames rising from the bottom two decks and the damage control team set up the hose there before dumping the water down. The NCT troops found their way to the NCT armory and started to grab boxes of ammunition and bring them out onto the deck. Two other NCT soldiers ran in and grabbed the guns and tossed them onto the deck before heading back inside.

A group of normal sailors were working on getting shells out of the ship's 5 inch guns which was slow due to the shear number and size of the shells. While 5 inch shells aren't large compared to other ones used by NO forces, they were still not easy to move in large numbers. Especially across a ship to the helicopter pad as fires burned in the ship. The sailors removing these shells were the only normal sailors aside from a few directing helicopters and removing missiles or torpedos.

The first OCFD team arrived and it was a collection of firefighters from station 1 and 3, both engine and ladder with the paramedics on the shore tending to the injured sailors. They arrived by WFM helicopter and the second team would be arriving soon by boat. The fire boat was the best way to handle this but it was the only one nearby and it would take days to get another so the OCFD had to put people inside. The OCVFD was also called up to aid in firefighting and would arrive after all OCFD firefighters were on board. The firefighters had pumps designed for this situations like this so they didn't need to rely on one hose. They set up the pumps over the side of the ship and hooked hoses to them to begin firefighting operations.

On the lower deck however something unfortunate happened, the engine exploded. The blast blew the side of the ship wide open and collapsed multiple floors. Fire flew out of the ship as water began to pour in. Rapidly the ship listed to starboard and any hope of recovery was ruined. The ship was now uncontrollable and even worse the shells being removed had been dumped across the decks, which were beginning to burn. The OCFD fire boat had arrived at about this time and firefighters from engine 2 set up a hose across the deck to allow sailors to collect the shells. Meanwhile the fire boat started to dump water into the hole created by the blast in an attempt to stop the blaze.

The firefighters kept arriving and the ship had drifted two full miles as fires were beginning to get under control. Despite this the ship was a goner, it had taken on so much water and ended up beaching itself on the bank of the river. All munitions and equipment had been removed and any documents were lost in the fire.

The captain ordered the crew to just get the fire under out to prevent a forest fire in Phantôme National Park and when they did that they would remove any personal belongings left and leave the ship on the beach. NO Park Rangers had said it shouldn't effect the ecosystem too much if they left it beached and considering there wasn't much way to remove the wrecked vessel that was more onto land than river the navy just left it. The firefighters left after the fire was out and the damage control team, along with the rest of the sailors, were sent to a series of bunks used by NORD in the National Training Center, a facility dedicated to training rescue workers for anything. The facility had bunks available because the ship sunk in between classes so there was room for the 450 sailors.

A/N: I never really explained what happened to the vessel after she was hit, so here is the story of the Survivor. Also that is the most ironic name ever, the Survivor was the first ship I ever mentioned being sunk.
