Everything Has Changed

•CHAPTER X•

Nayeon's POV

I arrive at the hospital early to help the other doctors, doing their rounds. It's part of our life as a med. student, and of course, this will be our training grounds.

Since the 2 weeks break were over, our class is now resumed today. Which means, the gates of hell were now open again and ready for our daily torture. I greeted everyone and they greet me back too, while flashing a huge grin on their face.

"Ms. Lim!" Someone shouted and I look around and saw a cute little girl.

"Oh Hi there, Nako-chan! How's your check-up today?" I kneeled down, so we have the same height.

"It was a bit painful, but I didn't cry. Sana-san said that Nako-chan is brave." She said in a happy tone.

Nako, or Yabuki Nako is a patient here in this hospital, and she have appendicitis. Her surgery occured 3 weeks ago, and I assisted the doctor together with Sana.

That shiba inu wanted to be there, because she promised her half sister that she'll be there, when it's her operation.

I beamed at her and patted her head lightly.
"That's good to hear, Nako-chan! Sooner or later, you'll be discharge. Are you happy with that?" I look at her and she nod her head.

"Yes Ms. Im! Nako-chan is very happy." She explained and giggled afterwards.

After the short talk with Nako, I went at the information desk to write my name on the log book, then I saw someone familiar in my peripheral vision.

"Jeongyeon?" I mumble to myself and look around, only to realize that the figure had disappeared. I shake those thoughts off, and went at the surgeon's office for any assisting.

The last patient we'll gonna visit is at the 2nd floor, so Dr. Hwang and I enter inside the lift and pressed the floor.

"How's your 2 week break, Ms. Lim?" Dr. Hwang asked.

"It was great sir!" I answered and he smiled at me.

"What did you do on that 2 weeks? Did you take enough rest?" He asked again.

"Me and my friends went at a night market, then few days after that we attended a showcase of my friend, at the art academy. While I spent the last week for resting." I replied.

We now reached the floor and the both of us exited the lift, then went to the room where patient is located.

Dr. Hwang knocked on the door, before he opened it and went inside. My eyes widen when I saw her inside the room.

"Good Morning Ms. Kang, I'm here to check upon you."  Dr. Hwang said and approach the lady, then check her up.

While me, I'm busy looking at Jeongyeon while she's sketching something on her sketchpad. She look so cool when she's focused on some things, and those eyes were hot.

"Damn it Lim Nayeon! Remember you're on your job. Stop messing around." I thought and shrugged it off, before focusing on Dr. Hwang's check-up.

11:45 am

The hallways were now packed with students going at their respective classes, while me I'm going at the cafeteria to grab lunch, and to do my essay.

I ordered a chicken breast sandwich and an orange juice, then proceed at the vacant table near the counter. Placing my food down, I sat on the chair, grab my pen and paper, then started to write an essay (or more likely a report) on what happened on my assisting rounds earlier.
