Chapter 20

{time skip - 3 months - Jasper hasn't proposed...... yet😉}

     Jasper was making me get dressed to go see a surprise he has for me. He won't tell me where we're going or why. He just told me to get dressed in whatever I want and that he has a surprise for me. I decided I would wear a white dress he got me for my birthday. Jasper wore a white dress shirt and blue jeans.

     I met Jaz outside and got in the truck. He still wouldn't tell me what we're doing. We drove out to a large, empty plot of land. When we parked, he got out and sped over to my side. I swear, this man never lets me open any kind of door by myself.

     "M'lady," he said, dramatically bending down and extending his hand to me. I laughed and accepted it. "I have a surprise for you. I don't know if you'll like it or if you'll hate it. But I do know it'll probably scare you."

     "You're making me nervous, honey," I said. "What's going on?"

     He took a deep breath before walking me out into the middle of the plot. There was a table with a box on it. The box was black wrapped in a red ribbon. My favorite colors. He grabbed my hands and faced me.

     "I know commitment scares you sometimes," he started. "But you need to believe me when I say that I want nothing more than for you and our kids to be happy. I want to commit to every part of you. I want you to commit to every part of me. I love you. So much. And I love those kids. I want us to have a happy future together. One where we wake up early on Sunday's and make the kids breakfast before going to Carlisle and Esme's place to visit. One where we dance to the radio at 3 a.m. while baking cookies. I want your license in my wallet when we go out. I want you to where my clothes no matter how much of your own Rose and Alice by for you. I want to be with you. All the time. I want to have a beautiful, stereotypical, country life. Complete with a beautiful farmhouse, as many animals you want, a large backyard for the kids to play in while we sit on the porch watching them run around, and pure happiness. That's why I bought you these."

     When he finished, he picked up the box and handed it to me. When I opened it, I saw legal documents for the plot of land we're on and blueprints for a beautiful home. The kind you dream of when you're a little girl but never think you'll have because of how much it costs. I covered my mouth and choked on a sob.

     "Jasper," I whispered. "You did all this? For me?" I looked at him, tears flooding my eyes and falling down my cheeks.

     He nodded. "I did," he said. "That's not all of it though. I still have one more surprise."

      We got back in the truck and drove a little further down to a dirty road about a mile away from the plot. He drove down it until we reached a large tree in the middle of nowhere.

     "I know you hate sappy stuff," he started. "So I'll make this as quick as possible." We laughed before he continued. "I want to be in your life forever with those little girls. I want them to know that, even if I'm not their real dad, I'll treat them like I am. I want them to know I love you with my whole heart, and I'm not gonna hurt you like he did. I want them to trust me. I want you to trust me. I want you and them to be happy. So, Kennedy Arielle Davis, I have a question for you." He knelt down to one knee and pulled out a black velvet box. "Will you marry me?"

     When he opened the box, I choked on tears and laughter. In the box, was a ring pop. It took me a minute to calm down and catch my breath. He waited patiently for my answer, laughing every once in while. Finally, I answered.

     "Depends on the flavor," I teased, smiling. I picked it up and put it in my mouth. "Mmmm. Blue raspberry. Yes. Yes I'll marry you." He stood up, smiling, and kissed me. "I love you," I told him.

     "I love you more," he said. "Don't argue. I win automatically."

     "Oh really," I said. "And why is that?"

     "Because," he said. "Even if you say something like 'I love you most', I'm the one that gets to marry you. So I win."

     I tossed my head back laughing. He held me to his chest with his hands on my hips to keep me from falling backwards. He laughed with me.

     "Come on," he said, tugging me towards the truck. "We should go tell the girls. They were dying while trying to keep this secret. I'm surprised they lasted the entire time."

"They knew?" I asked, shocked. He nodded. "Who else knew?"

"Everyone," he said, laughing. "Even the wolves."

"Seth knew," I stated more than asked. "My own best friend. Never again will I help him prank the others. He's on his own now."

     When we pulled up to the house, everyone was waiting on the porch. They had excited smiles, most likely already knowing I said yes thanks to Alice and Edward.

"Why did none of you tell me?" I yelled, smiling so they would know I was joking. They laughed. "Seth! How could you? All those times I told you Emmett's secrets to help you prank him. This is how you repay me?"

"Wait," Em exclaimed. "You were the one who told him I had a pink fluffy boa scarf under my bed?" Everyone doubled over in laughter.

"WAIT," Lor yelled, scaring everyone. We whipped our heads to her, thinking something bad happened. "When can we move into the new house?"

{y'all I am so sorry I disappeared lmao. school started a couple months ago and I got my heart broken by the first guy I trusted after getting out of a toxic relationship so I've been stressed and depressed lately with almost no motivation.
