I'm sorry, I heard this one, and I just started laughing. No offense to anyone who actually has this question, though.
YES. We can wear bathing suits, and it would be a tragedy for me if we couldn't. It's just stated that we be modest while wearing them. This does NOT mean that we wear a long shirt over them or anything like that. It means a suit that covers your boobs, stomach, and crotch. That basically means no monokinis, bikins, or those things that Swimsuit Models wear.
No, it means things like one pieces, or tankinis. Now, while answering this I realized that many people don't know what this is. A tankini is a two piece suit, that pretty much has a modest bikini bottom, and a top that covers your stomach. They're quite nice, I have two. Great for people who don't want a one piece, but aren't comfortable wearing bikinis.
Oh, and girls wearing bikinis: most guys I've talked to don't like seeing boobs and butts at the pool. They would much rather talk to a modestly clad girl that doesn't show everything off. (I also don't talk to perverts as a habit, not saying that you do.)
