THE SIX new U.A. students were walking down the crowded halls toward Class 1-A. The hallway was packed with students pushing past each other, but Kisame, towering over most of them, simply shoved people out of the way without much effort. The rest of us followed in his wake, taking advantage of the path he cleared.
"Deidara, what's wrong with your face?" Tobi suddenly asked, tilting his head as he observed the blond.
"Huh?" Deidara blinked drowsily at him, barely processing the question. He looked like a walking zombie, dark bags under his eyes. I had to wake him up that morning by dumping a bucket of water onto his face since he had completely forgotten they were supposed to start school today.
"Your face, Deidara—you look so ugl—I mean, tired!" Tobi shivered as Deidara sent him a deadly glare.
"Good one, Tobi," I snickered, giving the orange-masked man a wink and a small thumbs-up. The amusement was short-lived as Deidara smacked us both upside the head.
"Yeah, well, excuse me for not expecting to be fifteen again, lose most of my jutsu, start going to school, and help some brat when I DIED!" Deidara whisper-yelled, rubbing his temples in frustration.
"A simple 'stayed up all night' would've given us an answer," Kisame remarked, glancing over his shoulder at the explosive artist. Deidara shot him a scowl, but Kisame just grinned, clearly enjoying his misery.
"Shut up." Deidara groaned and quickened his pace to walk ahead of the group.
"Hah, but look at Itachi," Kisame continued, his grin widening. "He looks like he got plenty of sleep."
At this, Deidara abruptly stopped in his tracks, spinning on his heel dramatically to glare at Kisame.
"Uh-oh..." Tobi mumbled before quickly scurrying behind a nearby trash can.
"First day here and we're already making a scene. See, Deidara? Itachi would never do something so foolish." I smirked, egging him on. This was one of the funniest pass times.
