"UGH FINNALLY, I was about to blow your head off if I had to listen to you rant about Jashin any longer," Deidara groaned as we stepped into the clearing, rolling his shoulders in frustration.
"Y/N!"
We turned to see Kisame, Kakuzu, and Sasori standing ahead. Kisame wasted no time striding over, throwing a heavy arm over my shoulders like we were old drinking buddies. His shark-like grin stretched wide.
"How's my favorite Uchiha?" he teased, his voice full of amusement.
I could practically feel the exaggerated eye-roll Itachi gave from behind me.
"So, you three are here as well," Itachi observed, his tone as unreadable as ever.
"It's like one big Akatsuki reunion! Give me a hug, Kakuzu!" Hidan announced, stretching his arms wide as he lunged for his partner.
Kakuzu didn't even hesitate. His fist shot out, connecting with Hidan's face in one clean punch. The silver-haired man crashed to the ground with a grunt.
"Shut up," Kakuzu muttered, already reattaching his arm as if nothing had happened.
Hidan groaned, rubbing his chin as he pushed himself up. "And a hello to you too, asshole..."
I barely managed to stifle a laugh, disguising it with a clearly fake cough. Hidan narrowed his eyes at me but said nothing.
"Anyway," he huffed, dusting himself off, "you guys heard the explosion too, right?"
"Yeah," you replied, pointing to the clearing. "We followed the smoke, and it led us here."
"Then let's go already," Sasori muttered, stepping forward. "I hate waiting."
The moment we entered the clearing, a very familiar voice rang out.
"DEIDARA-SENPAI!"
Deidara barely had time to react before Tobi launched himself at him like an overexcited puppy, tackling him into a suffocating hug.
