RECOVERING QUICKLY from the punch, I press my hands to the ground, skidding backward as smoke fills the area from a few detonated paper bombs. Twisting my body, I push myself back onto my feet, only to sense another attack coming. I swiftly dodge, countering with a punch of my own before creating distance between us.
Once Itachi was far enough away, I began forming hand signs.
Horse. Serpent. Ram. Monkey.
Boar.Horse. Tiger.
I exhale a massive fireball, the flames roaring through the air, making sure to avoid Iida's direction. The remaining paper bombs detonate in a chain reaction, shaking the building. Taking advantage of the chaos, I sprint over to the disoriented Iida, grabbing his arm as we move the weapon.
Suddenly, the ground shudders beneath us. I react instinctively, channeling chakra into my feet to steady myself.
"You good?" I ask, sparing a glance at Iida while scanning the room for Itachi.
"I'm quite fine," he replies before frowning. "But what does Bakugo think he's doing? He's going to lose this for us both."
"Then we'll just have to win without him." I tighten my grip on the weapon. "Iida, use your Quirk to move around nonstop. We have about five minutes left. I'll keep Itachi distracted while you focus on avoiding him."
He nods, gripping the weapon firmly.
"Get ready—"
A kunai whizzes past my head.
"NOW!"
Iida dashes off as I suddenly feel something latch onto my leg, attempting to pull me down. Reacting quickly, I pull another kunai from my pouch and slash at the unseen force before leaping backward.
