greed changes a man
when he finds something so valuable
so beautiful
full of wonder
he begins to wonder
whether more could be discovered.
some men
will look at her
and understand
that she is enough
but then again
some men
will hide her in the sand--
away from the world
away from him.
rather than loving her
she becomes
- a pirate's forgotten treasure
