Chapter Sixteen

  Tomorrow is the big day, the homecoming dance. Krystal and I decided to have a sleepover so we could have a girls night.

  "What should we do?" Krystal asks.

  "Well I have a question for you," I respond.

  "Ask away."

  "Who's your date for the homecoming dance?" I ask.

  "Andrew," Krystal responds with a smile.

  "Really? You've had a crush on Andrew ever since we met him."

  "Yes really and don't you think that's why I'm mainly looking forward to tomorrow."

  "So that's why you're so happy," I say laughing.

  "Don't laugh, you were extremely happy when Ash asked you to homecoming," Krystal says frowning.

  "I guess that's true, sorry I laughed."

  A little while later there was a knock at the front door. I walked downstairs with Krystal behind me. I opened the door and Ash was standing on my front porch.

"M'lady, can I talk to you Sarrah?" Ash asks.

  "Sure, Krystal why don't you go order pizza, you know what I like."

  Krystal nods and walks upstairs, once I see her enter my room I step outside and close the door behind me.

  "I have a question, and it is completely fine if you say no," Ash says.

  "Okay."

  "Will you be my girlfriend?" Ash asks.

  "Yes," I say happily.

  "Great, well I don't want to keep you too long."

  "Okay, see you tomorrow?" I ask.

  "Of course."

  Ash walks back to his house and I go back inside.
