Kei Kuruizawa's POV

It was now 4:20. I'm not sure if any of them were even there yet, but I honestly have nowhere to go right now. I decided to head to the elevator to get to the boy's dormitory. I had no plan in mind, I'd probably just stick my face to my phone if anyone got there ahead of me. Ayanokouji would probably already be there since it was his room.

I walked down the hall, a bit nervous because I was at this part of the building. My presence here wouldn't look good. I just broke up with Hirata a few weeks ago... I definitely don't want any rumors of me being seen here going around our grade level. Ugh, why does it have to be in that gloomy dude's room?

I silently sped up hoping that no one was spying on me. With my back slightly arched and face hovered, I walked my way to room 401, Ayanokouji's room. Making myself seem small was my attempt to hide my identity. Whether arching my back worked or not it didn't matter, doing it made me less anxious. Once I reached the door to the room, I quickly pulled out the key card Kikyou gave me and unlocked the door. As expected, the door made a clicking noise, it unlocked itself after I slid the card through the slider. I couldn't help but feel like I was robbing his place.

"I hope someone's already here," I whispered to myself and made my way into the room. I was expecting a messy room but I was met with an actually quite decent unit. Almost too decent. It was like nobody even occupied this room. I don't see any personal belongings at all. The way everything was kept clean and proper was actually admirable. Is this why they prefer hanging out here?

"Hello?" I broke the silence.

No reply.

I took my school shoes off and slid them behind the large flower vase near the door. I placed it there because Horikita and Kikyou definitely have the same school shoes I had. Despite the difference in sizes, Having them all mixed up would be a problem later and I didn't really want to spend more time here after our discussion. I would want to leave as quickly as possible.

I double-checked to see if anyone was there by checking the small kitchen and even the bathroom. It wasn't hard to navigate my way as the room had the same structure and interior as ours in the girl's dorm. Still, there was no sign of anyone. Ugh, that would mean I really got here first.

I crossed my arms. It's going to be a really boring day. It's really not helping that I'm in this gloomy guy's room and the other boys I'll be meeting later are our class' stupid and pervy trio. I'm also not a fan of Horikita's attitude either, she comes off as really arrogant for me. I only ever agreed to come because of my favor to Kikyou, I can't help but feel the regret of volunteering creeping up on me but I didn't let it get to me.

I glanced at the big almost skyscraper-like window and noticed the long and thick dark blue curtains, I noticed how it perfectly flowed down to the wooden floor. His room's view outside was pretty good. I could see the oranges and yellows scattered around the sky. Watching the sunset here would be something I'd look forward to every day after school ended if this was my room. Sadly though, the view from my dorm wasn't as amazing as the one in here. I'd say even worse. How unlucky.

I looked behind me and took another glimpse of Ayanokouji's room and almost did a comical eye twitch because of how plain and basic it looked. Yes, it was clean and all but c'mon, he didn't even have any gaming consoles or books? It was really like I was entering a showroom or something. Like this room was being advertised to me commercially so I could buy it.

I suddenly heard someone unlocking the door. I felt the panic gush through my body. I forgot I was coming in here unprecedentedly. I felt like I was trespassing even though Kikyou told me it'd be fine. What if that was Ayanokouji? I didn't know what I'd tell Ayanokouji when he comes here, so my immediate and stupid instinct was to hide behind the thick curtains. Oh God, I expected at least someone else to have arrived before me... The doors of our dorms immediately lock when you close them which explains why you must certainly have your keys with you at all times. No wonder every one of them had a duplicate key.
