Chapter 5

Chap 5: I am afraid of losing you

After about 5 hours, a doctor from the surgery room come out and inform everybody: who is her family member?

Shinichi quickly approaches the doctor and grasps his hand nervously: How was the surgency? Is she alright? When will she wake up? – a lot of questions were asked by Shinichi, the doctor can understand his feelings at the moment but he still has to ask an important question:

-I have some significant announcements about her healthy status, what is the relationship between you and her?

Before Mr. Agasa can speak, a familiar voice rang out: she is my girlfriend! – then Shinichi quickly follows the doctor to his room

The sentence "she is my girlfriend" appeared into Ran's mind, her tears drop down, lots of question present in her mind, why did he do it? Am is not his girlfriend?

In doctor's room, the doctor look at Shinichi's sad face and inform: the surgency is successful however we are not sure when she can wake up, it depends on her. If she doesn't wake up in the next 48 hours, she may not wake up. After that conversation, Shinichi spend his all time on taking care of Shiho, he tells her about previous memories, he also put 2 tickets into her hand: Shiho! Look at it! I promised that we will watch the match of Big Osaka and Tokyo Spirits together but you have to wake up first – he is hugging her while crying like a kid

Amazinggg! A cold voice with sarcastic words: The pervert! Why did you dare to hug me without permission?

Shinichi slightly look at the face that just said those words, he is so happiness that he didn't think about it anymore, he hugs her tighter: Shiho! You woke up, welcome back – Shiho also surprise with his actions, she let the idiot detective do it without resistance because this is really cozy, she always feels safe when Conan is beside her. Romantic moments last until Shiho see Ran who is standing at the door, she immediately signs an action to him, Shinichi understood her intention and take his hug away from her.

Shinichi introduce Shiho to Ran: Ran! Her name is Miyano Shiho, she is a genius in biochemistry field who is my important partner in difficult cases

Ran shakes hands with Shiho: Nice to meet you! My name is Ran Mori – Ran's mood is better when Shinichi said that the relationship between them is partner

Agasa's house

Agasa has a journey around the world with Mrs. Fusae, Shiho stay at home alone and research permanent antidote from BO'S documents. Specially, the health of Shiho is worse because she usually skips meals and stay up late, she wants to complete antidote APTX-4869 early. After which she will leave away from here

Shinichi's POV

I have an intention to wake up early and go to Agasa's house because after discharging from hospital, shiho didn't contact with me. However, I woke up lately and the urge of Ran so I have to go to school with my childhood. In the school, I cannot pay attention to do anything because I try to call for Shiho but no signal. In the afternoon, I play truant and run quickly to the Agasa's house, then I ring the doorbell and call her name: Haibara! Haibara! Haibara! – I seems to lose under control

A girl with an autumn hair is yawning and give me a bullet-shaped look: you are disrupting my sleep, why are you here? You are studying at school right?

I don't answer, he holds sharply her shoulders and asks in an annoyed voice: why didn't you contact with me after discharging from hospital?

-Why did I have to do that? – the question make me quiet, I don't understand why my mind presents strange answers: because I miss her so much, because I cannot pay attention to anything if you disappear, I remember sarcastic sentences from you

Shiho's POV

I see a strange silence from Shinichi, actually I feel delight when this idiot detective worried about me but I just think that it is normal care between friends. I decide to break out this quiet air: I am fine! If you don't have work anymore in here, you can come back your school

This obnoxious detective run into the house and sit stubbornly on a sofa: Shiho! I am hungry, if I come back school now, I will be hungry until evening, can you cook something for me?

I really hate myself because I am softened whenever that detective expresses like a kid. I fetch a sigh and go to a fridge, luckily there are something that I can cook. Although I am really tired, I try to cook for that obnoxious guy, next I will chase him back to his home. While I am cooking, I am headache and my eyes are dim then I fall to the ground

Shinichi's POV

Ram! A big sound in the kitchen!

I run into kitchen, I see Shiho who is lying on the ground, I quickly pick her up and bring her into a room, she is probably tired and exhausted because she usually doesn't take care of herself, I immediately put a warm towel on her forehead, then let her drink a cup of water, my heart seems to have thousands of knifes attack, I am afraid of see her fall and leave me forever, I won't let her be hurt anymore. I ordered foods from a reputable restaurant, I cannot cook or go out and buy anything because I don't feel safe when I leave her

About 9:00 pm

Shiho woke up after a long sleep, she open eyes and look at me, I don't let her say anything: you are still sick, lying down and resting – then I quickly warm up the porridge again

Shiho's POV

Shinichi let me sit up, he wants to feed me porridge, although I try to refuse his intention, that obnoxious detective doesn't let me have any opportunities to reject. I may not tell anything because Shinichi feeds porridge continuously. Actually, Conan usually took care of me when I was sick, however today is different, strange actions of him present in my mind, but immediately I let these thoughts pass through in order to avoid troublesome situations.

After let me drink a cup of water and medicine, Shinichi told me: I don't want you to be sick because researching antidote, I don't want to back to Shinichi if sacrificing your health – he said with a strict voice.

-And one more thing, I will sleep on a sofa in the living room, don't try to chase me OK! – he winks and give a gentle smile

I really cannot react to these strange actions, I just nod.
