PETS

Those were the two words that were predominantly used instead of the word Hybrids. It was used because that is what they were in the society. That is why they were created.

Hybrids in the society were not suddenly created  as an answer to an illness, not for the sake of cheap labour. Not even for testing of  any experimental medicine or vaccine. Those situations would still give a little purpose for the beings brought into existence in a planet populated by humans.

No, Hybrids were suddenly  created because some crazy rich man had a terminally ill kid who wanted pets who could talk, whom he could humiliate. That wish of a little entitled child to a father who loved him dearly brought about a key change to the present time. With the aid of his vast fortune, the rich man brought about a group of scientists to create such a creature.

That was the start of it all.

Even though that wish was not fulfilled as the child died, even though the father kept going and eventually died, the idea did not. Soon the idea of Slaves or Pets who were essentially talking animals took root inside the perverted minds of the rich and also the money making minds who knew the commodity would sell well.

And so, the researches kept on going by the donations of humanity who were entitled, perverted, dirty and twisted. It kept on going until it was finally achieved after a few generations. 

Hybrids which were first created  soon were understood as problems. They had a will of their own. They were also like the animal parts of them. That, was a  huge problem. Complicating matters still, was the problem that they were soon discovered by the world. Animals rights, Few sects of humans, religious people were appalled by it all.

 But the scientists and the crooks did not want to let go of their money which would soon start rolling as far as they could see. Nor could the rich people let go of the delicious idea of owning the promised exotic Slaves, theirs to do with whatever they wanted. 

So  a solution was soon devised. The research and experimentations continued till they came up with the way of rendering the hybrids COMPLETELY DOCILE. OBIDIENT. 

As soon as the effect of the intense conditioning took place, they were soon classified and given the status of Pets. or Slaves. 

The world, not wanting to have a headache with the way things stood, followed the example and accepted them as such. Curiosity played a heavy role as well.

 Soon, the markets started flooding with new variations of hybrids, so much so that the prices decreased. Only the more exotic of the hybrids were expensive, which soon became a status symbol for the rich to own.

The present generations settled down on the idea. Now, Hybrids were common. 

They were always owned. They were just Pets who could talk. They were beneath Humans. 

Even though over time Hybrids sympathetic supporters rose up to fight for their values, to give them a few rights, to make it possible for them to have shelters, mostly, no one could interfere.

A/N : A brief look into the world. Wanted to emphasize that the suffering of a Hybrid is never taken a notice on. As the story progresses, the conditioning of their brains and the personalities of the hybrids to get them completely obedient will be expanded upon.
