2015, Milan, Italy
Age 22
Slender fingers rest on my black dress pants, stroking my thigh gently. The music blasts through the surround system, colorful lights flashing on the club dance floor. I push the unwanted claws from my lap, rolling my eyes as I down the remaining whiskey from my glass. I slam my glass on the counter, beckoning my right-hand man over to me.
"Have you seen your new conquest yet, Valencio?" Matteo chuckles.
"Shut the fuck up, I'm not interested in that shit anymore!" I grunt annoyed.
"So, you're ready to leave?" He cocks his eyebrows.
"Yes, I've filled my void with alcohol, let's go." I walk out of the door, my hands tucked in my pockets.
"I'm surprised, The Valencio Fuentes-" I raise my hand to silence him.
"If you finish, I'll cut off your tongue," I growl,
"Don't hurt me, daddy~," He fake pleads.
"Matteo, get us home, you asswipe." I get into the backseat of the parked black range rover.
"Right away, sir," Matteo nods.
A vibration in my back pocket alerts me of an incoming call. My father's name flashes across the screen, and I yell at Matteo to lower the music. I swipe the answer button, hastily greeting hello.
"Valencio," the man on the line says.
"Father," I say lowly.
"Dove sei? Ferma qualsiasi cosa tu stia facendo, hai una missione da completare." His stern voice commands-- [Where are you? Stop whatever you're doing, you have a mission to complete.]
"Of course, Padre. Che c'è?" I ask what is it, failing to hide my disinterest.
"Il tuo compito è eliminare Eloise Angel. È stata avvistata da sola a Leonardo Vineyard, l'ultimo posto in cui si trovava con sua figlia. Dovrebbe essere vulnerabile e indifesa."
