Satoko did not know what Han was to her.
was he a friend, a mutual, a crush? no ofc not, why would he be her crush?! she didn't understand her feelings about him.
she decided that she was whatever he wanted to be.
she was currently working with Han in his garage on a car that needed a new motor.
Satoko was working under the hood before deciding that it looked fine as it was and wiped her hands from the grease and sweat that coated them. She
looked around wondering where Han was. When she heard the familiar sound of the chip bag rustling behind her. she turned to see him leaning against the wall staring at her with a slight smile. "What're you staring at Han?" she said chuckling a bit. "nothing." he said shaking his head.
she placed her hands on her hips biting her lip as she stared at the car's motor.
"i wanna take you somewhere."
Han said suddenly, she turned her head to see him blushing bashfully. "oh alright then." he walked over to his car and she followed. both getting in and driving out of the garage. they drove down the road, riding in silence.
"where are we going?" she asked. Han looked over at her before turning back to the road, "you'll see."

After a while of driving they pulled up into a flower field with a large willow tree in the middle. She got out of the car, staring at the beauty of it. Satoko had never seen anything like it before. When she heard the door shut on the other side of the car, she turned to see Han. holding a basket. she smiled in realization. They were having a picnic. han and her met in front of the car and he held his hand out to her. she smiled, taking it and letting him lead her through the field of colors.
they found a spot under the willow tree, laying out the blanket together. Han and her both got out the snacks and drinks from the hand woven basket. She noticed that Han made sure to get things that both she and him both liked, also including some new flavored chips since she always ate his. They finally got settled down and comfortable.
"how did you find this place?" she asked eating some sour cream flavored chips.
"my mother used to bring me here when i was young," he paused as she laid her head on his shoulder, "we would have picnics out here just like now. we would play tag over there." Han pointed to a spot that the sun shined brightly over. Satoko smiled fondly at the thought of young Han running through the feilds with  his mother chasing behind him. "tell me about her Han." he hummed. "she was kind but protective. almost like you." Satoko chuckled, "my mom always told me i had mother instincts." he nodded, placing a hand over her shoulder to support her. "She helped me quick smoking. It used to be bad and then she would buy me chips instead of cigarettes." Satoko listened as Han talked about memories of his mother. They ate the food and threw food in the others face. "tag, you're it!" Satoko said quickly getting up and running away. She turned her head to see Han chasing her behind her. Suddenly, she was tackled to the ground. She laughed loudly as dirt and flowers landed in her hair. Han tickled her more, wanting to hear more laughter. He thought it was the best sound in the world. Her laughter. snapping out of his thoughts, he looked at Satoko. She was staring at him, suddenly realizing how close they were. He stared back at her,
"can i ask you a question?"
he asked not moving his eyes from hers.
"yeah." she nodded. "be mine?" her eyes grew wide as she processed the question. she thought of all the moments they had together. where he would make her laugh, the way he would pop his fingers when he was nervous, when he shared his snacks, when she caught him staring on multiple accounts. "y- yes. i always have been." he smiled widely before 2 smiling souls let their lips connect.
