1.2|The Vanishing Glass

[The scar's glow immediately dies down, and the camera pans to see Madelyn who is now 10 years old, still sleeping. Then, the light turns on outside her bedroom cupboard under the stairs] "YOU SLEPT IN A CUPBOARD!?" Maddie's friends and her parents along with their friends yell with some other people as well, Walburga and Bellatrix are astounded that the Nobel and ancient house of Potter Heirs slept in a cupboard!? This made them hate muggles even more. Skyler grabbed Madelyn and put her next to him so she's safe, she also helps keep his anger down.

Petunia: Up. Get up. [She knocks on his closet door repeatedly] Now! [Smacks door of closet and walks into the living room]
[Madelyn wakes up, turns on her bedroom light and puts on her glasses with tape on the bridge, indicating that it was partly damaged. A large, tubby boy, Dudley Dursley, suddenly comes running down the stairs above the closet. He stops half-way down and goes back, jumping on the staircase.]
Dudley: Wake up, cousin! We're going to the zoo!
[Maddie looks up to the join works of the stairs with small amounts of dusts rising. Dudley laughs, comes down the stairs and runs for the kitchen. Maddie tries to come out of the closet, but is pushed back in by Dudley. "Oi! Watch it!" Petunia is in the kitchen, where Dudley has gone.]
Petunia: Oh, here he comes, the birthday boy!
Vernon: Happy birthday, son.
[Petunia and Dudley giggle together. Maddie comes into the kitchen, dressed in outgrown clothes.] "what are you wearing?" Mary McDonald asks in disgust, "Dudley's old clothes" Maddie says trying not to gag at the old 'memories' "remind me to kill my sister" Lily says in anger, Bellatrix smirks at her, "I'll gladly help" she says the two laugh making people look at them weirdly and confused.
Petunia: [to Maddie, unpleasantly] Why don't you just cook the breakfast, and try not to burn anything.
Madelyn : Yes, Aunt Petunia.
[Madelyn then gets to work on cooking the bacon] "Maddie dear, when did you start cooking?" Lily asks deadly calm some people were weary "um, when I was five?" Maddie says under her mother's glare, Lily huffs out in anger "I'll join in on killing your sister" James said, some laughed but most are angry with the muggles.

Petunia: I want everything to be perfect for my Dudley's special day.
Vernon: [to Madelyn, who is taking her time placing the bacon on the plates] Hurry up! Bring my coffee, girl! "SHE HAS A NAME!"
Maddie: Yes, Uncle Vernon.
[Petunia leads Dudley over to the family room, where there are a vast amount of presents. Dudley stares.]
Petunia: Aren't they wonderful, darling?
Dudley: How many are there?
Vernon: Thirty-six. Counted 'em myself. The pureblood children look even more shocked than the rest of the hall all thinking 'even I don't get that many presents'
Dudley: Thirty-six?! But last year last year I had thirty-seven!! "Spoilt brat!"
Vernon: Err yes, well, some of them are quite a bit bigger than last year.
Dudley: I don't care how big they are!
Maddie: [mumbles to herself] Spoilt twat some let out laughs.
Petunia: [calming him down] Oh, now, now, now. This is what we're going to do, is that when we go out, we're going to buy you two new presents! How's that, pumpkin? "That's not how to sort out the situation!"
[Outside the house morning. The happy family is heading to the car.]
Petunia: This will be a lovely day at the zoo. I'm really looking forward to it.
[Madelyn then goes to go in the car, but Vernon stops her, pointing his keys at her.]
Vernon: I'm warning you now, girl. Any funny business, any at all, and you won't have any meals for a week. Get in. "CHILD ABUSE!"
[At the London Zoo. The family is in the reptile house, looking at a large Boa constructor.]
Dudley: Make it move. Again the pureblood children are shocked that he is ordering his parents round, if they did that they will be in big trouble.
[Vernon taps the glass of the cage.]
Vernon: Move!
[Dudley taps the glass much harder, and Vernon nervously winces.]
Dudley: MOVE!
Maddie: He's asleep!
Dudley: He's boring.
[Dudley and his parents head over to another enclosure. Madelyn is left with the snake.]
Maddie: Sorry about him. He doesn't understand what it's like, lying there day after day, having people press their ugly faces in on you. [The snake looks up and blinks.] Can you...hear me? [The snake nods] "your a parselmouth?" Walburga asks shocked that she shares a power with her master "Yep!" Maddies says smirking slightly, "but no one in our family have been parselmouths before!?" James asked confused, "you'll see later dad" Maddie said James smiled at being called dad againIt's just...I've never talked to a snake before. Do you...I mean...do you talk to people often? [The snake shakes its head] You're from Burma, aren't you? Was it nice there, do you miss your family? [The snake turns its head in the direction of a sign which says, Bred in Captivity] I see. That's me as well. I never knew my parents, either. Everyone smiled sadly especially the Future group whilst everyone else is wondering what exactly happened.
[The now awake snake has attracted Dudley's attention. He comes over to the glass, knocking Madelyn to the floor.] "Oi watch it!"

Dudley: Mummy, dad, come here! You won't believe what this snake is doing!
[Dudley puts his hands on the glass wall. With his back turned, Madelyn glares at him. Suddenly, the glass disappears, causing Dudley to wretch forward, losing his balance.]
Dudley: Whoa! Ahh! Ahh!!
[Dudley falls into the snake enclosure, sputtering in a pool of water. Maddie snickers at what she saw. The snake gets out of the exhibit, stopping in front of Harry.]

Snake: Thanks.
Madelyn: Anytime.
[The snake slivers off to the exit.]
Man: SNAKE!
[There is a lot of screaming as the snake heads for freedom. Dudley gets up to get out, but the glass is now back over the enclosure. Seeing that he is now trapped, he pounds the glass in panic.]
Dudley: Mum, mummy!
Petunia: [notices him in the exhibit] AHH!
Dudley: Mum, help! Help me!
Petunia: My darling boy! How did you get in there?! How did you get in there? Dudley, oh, Dudley!
[Madelyn grins and snickers, Vernon notices this and glares down at her. Maddie's grin slowly disappears, knowing that she is in trouble with Vernon.] "if he dares hurt you" James said in a deadly calm voice which made people look at him shocked his friends look at him scared Sirius moves slightly away you can tell how very angry James and Lily are.

Sorry for the wait! I really really hope you enjoy this new book! I'll try and update the potters twins tomorrow after school but I'm sort of loosing motivation for that book even though it's VERY popular for me but it's a lot of work editing the chapters adding Kalani and other character in and the reactions which is why I also started this book as it's slightly easier. X
