DECEMBER 25

On the morning of Christmas Day, Chief Leonard received a card in the mail. It said:

We've now reached the intermission. For the time being, there will be no killings, unless by some miracle you catch me. Care for your living and remember the dead. I guarantee this war will end with me winning, so don't get your hopes up.

Happy Christmas!

She sent a text to all of the cops, including Dr. Raymond, telling them of the message.

JANUARY 1

Nichols General Hospital

After the incident at the school, Jason had been taken to the hospital after suffering traumatic brain injury. He had lost a pint of blood on Christmas Eve, according to Mr. Derns, the only person with him when he collapsed.

He was still in the hospital after an incident where Jason blacked out from lack of blood. He was expected to recover soon, though.

Substitute Police Station

Alex Fritz was discovered to have been killed at CliveWood. This was an odd discovery; the SWAT teams didn't shoot any killers, and both Chief Leonard and Sheriff Molis said they didn't shoot him. The bullets in Fritz's body didn't register to any of the killers.

Dr. Raymond was immediately adamant that The Slenderman killed Fritz. He wasn't sure why yet.

"It's possible he killed Fritz because he could identify him," Sheriff Molis said.

"If so, does that mean the other killers know who he is?" Chief Leonard asked.

"From what I heard, none of the living killers are talking. They were sent back to the asylum with extra security," Sheriff Molis.

"They lack social empathy. None of them will brake," Dr. Raymond." I'm more interested in the fact that he was there in the first place."

"What do you mean?" Sheriff Molis asked.

"That means there are three possible scenarios: he sneaked into the school undetected while cameras were disabled, he was one of the killers who terrorized the school, or he was one of the party guests who snuck away," Dr. Raymond deduced.

"He couldn't have been one of the killers. There wasn't an extra member nor did any have the gun that killed Fritz," Chief Leonard noted.

"Then he either sneaked in or was one of the guests," Sheriff Molis said." Meaning he could either be anybody who wasn't there or anybody that was there. So which is it?"
